  1. It's OK buying the floodlights but the infrastructure needs to be in place, at the moment no electricity is near northside arena
  2. It's gonna be the 2018 comets version of klindt the triple winning comets H18TORY 😁
  3. Need more money than I've got to put lights in ðŸĪ” are you gonna help marra 😁
  4. Lots of money no electricity on site, so would need to factor that in,also elf and safety may want lights on the access road, but maybe allowed to run of generations don't know the ins and out of that with it being a safety implication
  5. What a load of cr@p several people from worky made a 400+ miles round trip at their own expense ,to spread the name of worky to all who attended and by all accounts sold a bit of merchandise to help the club funds
  6. BSPL may as well ask Coventry and Swindon as well, they are in same boat as Peterborough, all 3 haven't got a track at the moment
  7. Unfortunately that museum was dismantled and a lot of stock was sold off a couple of years ago I think
  8. That just proves you know F all 🙃
  9. Shocked you don't know, you think you know everything else ðŸĪŠ
  10. Won't he need to qualify in the Aussie championship
  11. Only problem time is running out. And if lots of work is required in a short space of time, lots of money will be required, something the group may not have. For a 1st season back basic facilities only are needed, standing room, portaloos, speaker and air fence and electric for speedway stuff, then can build back up as time and money allows
  12. All they do is hire a room out, so in a way why would you, justu like if you hired the room for a big wedding, would you expect it to be on the motor museum website 😗
  13. Cairns and Rushen also advertised so we'll have all 3 thank you 😁
  14. Nicolai is advertised in speedway star as making an appearance, does not say if it's on the comets stand though 😄
  15. And cleared the garage to get more junk in 😃 good luck
  16. Best get some more building work done 😆
  17. Worky like to think outside of the box, promoting the club, keeping the name in everyone's mind, yes a long way from Birmingham, but it may encourage people to plan a weekend in deepest Cumbria/ Lake District and combine speedway with sightseeing
  18. Lewy I'm a poor retiree, I'm pushing it to buy you a pint when the Comets come visiting to your place, even then if the price of petrol goes up more, you'll be on water 🙃
  19. Booked premier inn at bury next to metro link ÂĢ160 , 2 nights, on cancellation deal, got to wait to see how much they are gonna rob me for tickets 😗
  20. Not all trains stop at the belle Vue station and if you struggle to walk it's a 10-15 walk to the stadium
  21. Belle Vue has probably got 2 GPs to help offset the cost of the temporary stands, other stadiums already have the infrastructure in place. Hotel prices in city centres are always steep at weekends, more so if several events are on, noticed this morning premier inns in city centre already have some sold out and others ÂĢ300 for Fri/sat. Probably other events already planned
  22. Workington comets have a stall at the show as well, shame more clubs can't be bothered to promote there club, believe Buxton are also there
  23. Think early season the warm dry sunny weather and afternoon meetings affected track preparation a lot, later in the season running later in the day certainly helped out. Evening meetings under lights would help, but would you spend a lot of money putting in lights, given the potential state of speedway is in at the moment. We the fans, at all clubs don't even know for sure that the AGM has gone ahead or been postponed to January ðŸĪ”
  24. If you kept up on here been talks of it being postponed for weeks, but maybe rumours who knows, is it not time for your nap yet 😛
