Against Poole a couple of weeks ago, imo it was some of the best racing all through the meeting not just one or two races, only problem was Poole won by a canter, but watching will cairns at 17 riding out wide was unbelievable

Several notes from both Andrew Bain and James Denham in past programmes mentioned the crowds are not what we were expecting. I am not making things up, I read the programme notes and count heads in the crowd, I was also told a break even crowd figure, but out of respect to the promotion I won't disclose that figure. With the great racing, most speedway fans are certainly entertained at Northside, yes I want my team to win, but if I watch a good battle and great racing, I am more than happy. The Poole match at home a classic example of this, but was the opposite at Berwick in the BSN or Poole last week, both of which I was in attendance

Yes another good speedway meeting to watch, comets imo lucky to get a draw, but take away the 60/70 travelling monarchs and the crowd was very poor, no where near break even figures. More supporters need to attend on a regular bases, I know several old supporters lurk on this forum, so come down and support the comets, before it's too late. As for a potential team change, if you have no money you can't do much.

Poole fans may not like this observation, but here goes 😜 at the moment speedway still operating and in front of a good crowd, but the big office block is now empty and deralic as is the multi storey car park, a couple of houses nearby are falling down. To me this area and unfortunately the stadium will be soon purchased to build new houses, blocks of flats like most places in the the country, I hope the Fords have a new bit of land lined up for a new stadium, you can ask the Workington promotion for design help to build a good track 😜

Yea the bike nite was good on Tuesday, looking at the sunseeker boats being built, and drinks on the quayside, but had to suffer going to Poole speedway on Wednesday 😜🤣

Teams are built at the start of the year within the points limit, but more importantly are built to come within a budget, Don't know if you've noticed but our crowds could be a lot better, unless your gonna put your hand in your pocket to help out the promotion. Just be thankful we have speedway to watch at which is probably the best race track and viewing in the country 😀. I was at Poole last night they had a crowd of 1500 - 1800 so they can afford the best riders

Well what can I say 🤔 as predicted, but on a dusty track the water cart only came out in 2 of the 4 grading breaks, the last few heats were like watching through a dust storm, granted Lawson's pass in HT 15 was good, but the rest of the racing if you can call it that, was not exciting. But the pilots fans will be happy. On a brighter note was good to meet up with a few names on here 😃 and I'm now an honorary member of the NID corner 😄

A few Comets fans will be on the 1st bend with ours banners don't think you will miss us 🤣
