  1. As for promoters promoting the sport, Glasgow do a good job. But on my 1 visit and watching on BSN this year the crowd looked poor,. I've always said pick one meeting, do promotion like when a circus comes to town, can't move for advertising, discount tickets available the circuses seem to do well so speedway can maybe do the same.
  2. ££££ s loan fees now and a transfer fee when he improves from Glasgow or Poole
  3. As an avid local speedway fan I have not heard rumours of the cash being splashed. But have heard that there's hardly any riders who don't want to ride for the comets, the main reason I have heard is they want to ride what looks to be a great track. And most importantly have access to ride 7 days a week practicing to improve themselves, so far most are young and have the ambition to progress further through the speedway ranks, Looking forward to seeing these young kids progress and only 2 mile fra yam you never know one of these kids could turn out to be the next Dan Bewley UTC
  4. Snap but I bailed out and bought copies from local Morrisons, so helping out speedway star in a roundabout way, no fault of pinegen, lost in royal mail back log, probably still gonna get Xmas cards at Easter at this rate
  5. Looks like all behind the rebirth of the comets mean business 1st what looks to be a great track now looking like a great team to go with it UTC

  9. Wishing Steve lawson a happy 65th birthday, could he be the oldest signing in the league all will be revealed at 8
  10. Agree a little bit. But just glad to have speedway back in Workington, but surely the point of the 3rd league is to bring young kids like Luke etc through the ranks, and onto hopefully bigger and better things ?? Personally I would like a team of up and coming riders gaining experience, rather than building a win at all cost team, but I know to attract a crowd you have to have a good mixture of both . Anyway good luck to all involved, looking forward to next announcement, up the comets UTC
  11. A good 1st signing, other tracks will not be happy,to miss this signing, if any comets fans have lost touch with speedway Luke was very good last year as a 15 year old , got a good future in front of him

  21. Jenga on previous posts it mentioned weekend afternoon meetings, then in last week's speedway star 3pm Saturday afternoon was mentioned, would think all will be revealed soon after a local management meeting. UTC
  22. Complin has had his day nothing to gain by giving him a team place.,and no connection to west Cumbria, where as if Adam roynan was to sign, yes I know he has been around a bit, but has got Workington connections, another I would like to see is Archie Freeman and it may encourage some diamonds fans to have a run over on a Saturday afternoon
  23. £90 a point is cheap compared to what some riders were alleged to be on !!
