  1. Think any track would struggle to be dust free, been no rain in worky since end of April, always been a breeze which drys things up fast, can only put so much water down at a time without it being a swamp, only the man up in the sky can water the best, same as your plants in the garden, you can water them, but when it rains on them, they seam to bloom better
  2. The windmills will give you a good idea of wind direction, but on Saturday the wind direction changed through 180 degrees, you could see the windmill blades turning to catch the new wind direction
  3. If dusty and wind in right direction, the newly installed seats on bend 1 give a great view, but saying that not a bad view from anywhere
  4. Only 2 ladies at worky today, Celina and Katie, Celina very stylish but poor Katie took a heavy by fall when her bike flipped coming off the start gate, took a ride in the ambulance, but thankfully was on center green for the trophy presentation
  5. For info ranting Roy has a bad case of bronchitis
  6. Comets beaten by a more solid side, and a reserve who scored the points, comets had 2 riders in main body of team scoring big points and several retirements or fallers in scoring positions, but on the day better team won
  7. Comets No 1 Conner bailey top scored for Redcar at Scummy last nite, getting good feedback on the BSF forum
  8. Enuf about that other place !!! Sunshine speedway on at Costa del Northside areana get your shades and sunscreen this has potential to be a good meeting, hope we have plenty of water to put on the track . UTC
  9. Then town made a mess of putting the new "shared" pitch in, cost 100k but someone forget to put the drains in, some very soggy summer rugby days were had !!
  10. Poor Tigger's does the team manager go as in football if results don't go right ?
  11. Who's bothered about a Mickey mouse football cup final, it's a speedway double header, Northside areana for the comets and station road clubb for the GP
  12. Could you mind not mentioning Workington to@@ in this thread after they dug the track up in 2019, but then again maybe Done the comets a favour now the Northside areana is up and running
  13. Would it have been better on a narrower track Geoff?
  14. Very impressed with the young lad, the race with Ben trigger was epic both neck and neck passing inside/outside for 4 laps
  15. Looking forward to see how he goes at worky 2morrow
  16. It certainly giving a lot of racing lines, even at this level. Seen a few giving it big yahoo's on the outside line, but not quite got it yet. But it will come and I can't wait to watch it, as the track/riders can only get better, standing on 1st corner looking down the straight often you can see them swapping position to line up a pass. Good to see especially at this level, god knows what a higher standard of rider will make of the track !!
  17. We will have to what Peterborough did and bring the white line in a bit, but it will still be wider than most other speedway tracks in this country
  18. Can't beat a Glasgow fan gloating on the Edinburgh page about a recurring injury
  19. Got to hand it to the promotion, trying something different speedway and music day 10th June https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02ZAaGTNMhNvGMm6VM6SEWFYKiVDdG5QxGwQsFH4xoCmMBMcfoUAeKs9YXBm9te52Yl&id=100047803096350
  20. You'll have the wear a daft hat like Roy Clark does
  21. Unfortunately Geoff looks like Kelsey has a broken wing. So could be out for a while.
  22. Think tonight's win for the comets is the 1st time the bullets have been beaten at home !! UTC
  23. 2nd meeting at the northside arena for these 2 old rivals, going back to April 1970. Can only see a comet's win after seeing the team at berwick winning well UTC
