Yes a lot of them plead poverty or say they want the fans to back them in numbers, but every year at the AGM they vote to run the following year, a bit like turkey farmers voting for Xmas

But it is true several clubs don't break even with the numbers of spectators coming through the gates, the sponsorship big or small helps to balance the books. Also,maybe more so in the past than now (due to financial rules) a speedway team was offset against a business to offset tax etc

TV deal or no TV deal , IF no decision is made this week, this puts all clubs plans for next season out of the window. How can you approach a sponsor ideally before Xmas, to sell the new speedway season, when at the moment it appears no-one knows WTF is going on

Think a lot of the lesser riders, and some bigger ones ( like josh Pickering) are now giving Poland a wide berth due to several cases of non payments. Several polish clubs are in deep financial doo doo

Imo similar sized crowds, but paying less to the riders one league down, so Matt ford very happy as he makes more money

Maybe some promoters are not happy with the rumours being too near the truth, and put pressure on people to delete the subject

In this day of potential financial hardship for many, going to speedway every week could be hard to do. I've been saying for ages speedway should be like other sports where one week you are home the next away, so you will have 2-3 meetings at home every month, that's enough to fit fixtures in from late March to August, play offs in September.

A lot of the gaps were caused by various FIM meetings ,GP2 etc and lesser Micky mouse European meetings taking away a lot of the teams U24 riders,of all nationalities, so clubs had blank weekends or choose not to be available when the fixture draft was made, rather than run a team of guests or R/R

This season a lot of teams struggled to fit in 1H 1A so how can they fit double this in next season, BSN cup was only 3 more meetings.

Keep watching here or websites/social media all will be relieved in time, obviously your excited because you are on here talking about it 🙃
