He was and through the Darcy link, some on here thought he was a shoe in to sign for the pilots (ditto bailey) but Tate (with input from Darcy) decided to go to worky, yes has not come on as much as thought, but a lot of that was due to the bad injury. Susspose pilots have got that other outstanding Aussie Frazer Bowes 🙃

You can't say nobody to blame but ourselves. Most on here are just fans who pay their money and watch speedway, some may sponsor in some form. The blame stops at the promoters now and in the past, most just looking after their own self interest. No thought for next year / future years. The ones who have a vision are overruled by the establishment IMO Several promoters are now unhappy about the present stalemate, as they can't sell season tickets for the Xmas market,as they don't know how many meetings they could be potentially riding. Also they are missing out on potential, existing or new sponsors because as above they don't know the set up of the league or how many meetings you are going to run, it's anywhere from 8 to 12/14 home league meetings (championship)

Was told by another northern promoter today, that they can't sell season tickets until they know the league set up, at the moment it's not confirmed how many teams will be in the league

Agree as the league strength is diluted, riders scores / average goes up, so the following season riders appear to be stronger/higher average, but the teams are actually weaker, if you get my drift

Problem is very few people buy/read local press these days, and the local one to worky is controlled by newsquest a national media outlet, so most things in our local rag is national stories and adverts, very little local news/sport

Maybe ask promotion or supporters club if assistance is needed .

The local press / TV is virtually non existent these days, it's all badly copied and pasted from other sources, very few old style journalists these days in the north. Carlisle United and various South of Scotland rugby teams get a mention, but not often speedway apart from press day and border TV did do a good coverage on the young kids memorial meeting 👍. We have 2 TV outlets, border TV as name suggests covers the border region and sometimes Cumbria. The other Look North based in Newcastle so covers all the north east and Cumbria if anything major happens. Even the 2 local rugby league teams get very little coverage

But it's a quiet football week as Bournemouth not in the champions League 🤣 Joking aside pilots always seem to get articles in the local rag 👍 susposed the readers need something to do when listening to Neil diamond on loop 😝

So much pressure is put on young riders by a lot of Poole fans on here, with the expectations of Bailey and Rushen. Not 16 yet and talking of Poole must have them, we are gonna win with these kids in our team. Yes both talented young kids but let them progress at their own rate and enjoy the speedway without pressure or expectations. Look what happened to the last great hope Aston Boughen

After his injury the year before just to get back on the bike was a positive, still showed some bright spots in 2025, hopefully if as rumoured he has new equipment and a mechanic, he will certainly improve in 2026

It wasn't the case a few tears ago when Mr Godfrey was not happy at the amount of Friday nite tracks, meaning scunny struggling to get guest riders, and causing all sorts of issues trying to get meetings rearranged
