Workington v Redcar 04/04/26 3 pm.

Hard to decide if you run or postpone, the forecast looked a bit better on TV but they can get it massively wrong, so to avoid storm Dave a full weekend of postponement probably a better decision. Unfortunately flat track event booked in for full weekend next week, so 18th April looking like 1st meeting -
How many years is it since you were at armadale ? The dogs haven't ran for many years

Just watched look north weather on BBC and the better news is that's it's looking a lot better for early Saturday, then storm Dave coming in to huff and puff đ. As said Redcar are a bit of a bogie team at the GT tyres Northside arena, they have had 3 meetings so far, but hopefully the comets will find the best way round the track to see off the bears đ UTC đđ -
As with a lot of things money talks . Oh and on the Poole thread how ironic đ

I think the team picks it's self especially at home, 1. Jonas. 2. Niklas. 3. Cookie 4 Tate. 5. Batch. 6. Jammie. 7. Vinnie maybe swap 3/4 and 6/7 away from home

Unfortunately did not turn 16 till after the various Aussie championships, don't know if he has any long lost UK relative, but from what I've seen ,only on video over winter and pre season, looks a very good prospect
-
Very few challenge meetings take place these days Steve, think it's down to the clubs trying to make or not lose too much money on league meetings, where challenge meetings will probably lose money. Unless it's Glasgow V Edinburgh several times a year
-
Yes 600 miles it's 42 mile each way from my house to the motorway at Penrith đ§ but was a bit easier back in the day as nowhere near as much traffic on the roads
-
Seen a video clip of cookie looking very fast and smooth, even got the Dan bewley line off the fence coming into turn 3 đ
-
Unfortunately I'm hearing pilots are sniffing about another young prospect âšī¸
-
No, but for some reason seems to be hyped up more, hope all the young guns make it into top riders đ
-
Can beat that back in the 90's drove from Workington to Oxford found out it was rained off when we got there, no mobile phones back in the day , spent a dry afternoon in Oxford went to Swindon massive storm 1 hour before the meeting and called off returned back home 600 miles and no speedway đ§
-
But Luke has been improving steadily, and goes about his racing quietly and has not been hyped up as much as others . Hopefully the young kids will kick on and be medal winners for team GB in the future
-
Hearing bikes going round this morning, maybe Craig having a spin or one of the Danes have arrived ready for p+p

Maybe speedway is getting like F1 if you have money behind you, you can get a team place đ¤ -

IMO Rushen is a far better prospect as he can gate a little, but his racing/passing is out of the world for a 15 now 16 year old and also seems to have the self promotion to put his name out and about, looking forward to seeing how this boy does, planning a trip across to Redcar when Poole come north just to watch the kid đ Another youngster to watch out for, but is only 9/10 years old at the moment is Oscar Berwick đ -

Also cairns has had a growth spur in the tail end of last season which won't help when most riders are not big these days -
Be good for a wheelie contest đ
-
Craig is a type of rider who in the past had done only a little bit of practice, bit like batch đ hearing Craig has lost a bit of weight, so good to go, will be fighting Jonas for the number 1 position đ

Hasn't he got to qualify in Australia to get a UK visa ?
