Aye several riders in the past have had mysterious breakdowns or disappearing acts on the way to meetings when testers were allegedly at the track

They don't normally give advance notification if they are gonna turn up, that's why it's called random testing

Very impressive at worky on Saturday only 15 agree he is hopefully going places, can pass and seems to be having fun on the bike. Hope he keeps grounded, and not another Ashton boughen. Will be lots of clubs after him for 2026, but I've heard it's all sorted, gonna be at a south coast club.🤔

The riders in the past did, big Arthur Browning is another, or little Steve Schofield, but the modern day riders are a very different shape/size

Yes but that was in the old days, when a lot of it was riders skill on a bike, now most bikes are equal and it's the weight of the rider what makes a difference . Unfortunately in the last few months Mr cairns has grown a lot, which may or may not go against him

Unfortunately seeing him at worky on Saturday and in the local establishment in the evening,looks like cairns has had a big growth spurt and will probably keep on growing for a little bit, looking to be the wrong build for a speedway rider now

Cairns blew the U19 title with a lack of consistence gating, and struggled to come from the back when missed the gate, others came from the back to get points.

Yea blown engine Vinnie was absolutely gutted was talking to him Saturday evening in a local establishment

If you were there this afternoon you'll know what I mean, but 8 year old Oscar Berwick in the 125 class what a prospect, take a bow young man 😅

A brilliant meeting and some good hard racing, Vinnie was hard done by to loose a chain while leading the last heat, could have won outright, will cairns missed the gate so did not get into the run off. While the run off itself was hard fought, well done all riders you were a credit to the sport. Cooper Rushden looks a fantastic prospect at 15 years old
