Enjoyable meeting and some good racing, track held up well, despite all the rain in worky the last few days, some good riding by the team, impressed with senna summers, one to watch I think, if luke crang rode like this all season, comets would have won more meetings, but been a good year for the return of the comets, thanks to Andrew Bain for bringing them back, let's wait and see what happens next year. Next week the NDLRC if the riders turn up and give it a go, could be a very good meeting, let's hope the weather gods are on our side

15th October was a post on comets Facebook page the other day

Looking at the weather the last 2 days and forecast for Saturday, I will be very surprised if the meeting goes ahead, forecast for Sunday looks a lot better could a late change of date be possible ? As for the latest averages this is a major explanation of many defeats for the Comets, also the injuries we've had, but time to go out with a bang and a high score for the last team meeting of the year, hope the comets have a league to run in next year ??

A big league would not work, look at it now the 2 small leagues are struggling to get the finals run in decent weather, so one big league and ego's to go with it, will probably have the final on boxing day and new years day , that's if any rider would want to guest at that time of year

Think this rule is only for the NDL league, worky used it when luke Harrison came back from injury he rode at No8 , have not seen it used in any other league, think if it was a rule someone would have tried to use it before now ?

With the gates that rough they are 2 wheeling it into bend 1, not any good if you are trying to pass anyone in front of you

He won't, as he doesn't know what's going on in the meeting he is commentating on, never mind any other meetings

If anyone is gonna try and get tickets, best set up an account beforehand, kupbilet was a nightmare a couple of years ago to navigate, don't know about the other agent

As a worky fan I just hope we have some speedway to watch, the NDL looks to only have a couple of teams that may run, Imo the comets need another year before they may be able to move up, only able to run afternoon meetings at weekends, no lighting at the moment, so if they move up you have the extra costs of the new league plus cost of lighting, so imo not viable unfortunately

Years ago when Glasgow used Workington as a base, started as Glasgow tigers at Workington, then Workington tigers, then poo gate happened, and the season did not finish, hope Birmingham have better luck

Think they will be waiting until the championship play off shambles gets sorted, otherwise a lot of the riders could be missing from the NDLRC final

Oh, wait. There probably isn’t even a trophy! You think your joking, but in 2018 when the comets won the treble ( H18TORY season ), on at least one occasion no official trophy was available, and on 2 occasions no one from the bspa was present to officially hand over the trophy !!!

How long do you extend the deadline?? Bonfire nite, Xmas day ? Same happens every year, they say gonna be better next year, just the same blank dates in summer. Then trying to jam fixtures in when the weather is iffy at the best

Would be already printed, not going to wait till Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning to print one

The bspa won't know what's going on as normal

As a comet's and speedway fan the comets promotion must be pulling their hair out at all the carry on, whether riders turn up, the local top rider called up to Poland, they had BSN coverage to promote the event and the fantastic northside arena, then this was pulled due to a team in the higher league running a meeting on a 3 rd choice race day !! Allegedly this meeting has got to be applied to run by the promotion of a club, after this shambles will promoters apply to run future events. Going forward the promotion have to decide what to do next year will the NDL league survive?

Surely if the NDLRC is a bspa protected event, very few or no other meetings should be rearranged especially one at Oxford on a 3rd off day of running meetings

Yes play offs been scheduled for after league has finished but aren't Oxford using a 3rd off race day ? Surly this should not be allowed especially if a protected event is taking place on the same day !!

this fixture been in calender all year, surly it should take preference over other rearranged fixtures, probably won't matter looking at weather forecast unless we try a new sport of canoe racing

Nightmare situation for the Workington promotion, horrendous weather forecast for Sunday, conner Bailey called up to be in wroclaw !! Luke Harrison is the replacement

Hope conner is not required in Poland, was a bit off the pace last nite, if he's not riding can't see the locals being happy especially for a big meeting that's also on BSN

Been the same sponsor on front in all gp's but zmarslik probably got a big back hander off orlen to wear his non gp race suit, and discovery will now get a big TV audience for the last gp
