  1. John if your on the injured list and the doctor is chasing you. Is it wise to drink I'm surly if you ask the royal family nicely they will have a spare coach and horses to bring you from scaryport to the p+p day ? After all isn't horse and cart normal transport for scaryport
  2. Have not heard of that booking site !!
  3. Geoff I had a walk down on Saturday looking good, but the weather was against doing the center green, people were putting windows in refs cabin and painting sponsors lounge/cabin. Apparently all electrics wired up and working (THJ must av got wires correct way round ) the new timing transponders were being put in across the start gate area, roll on press and practice and 1st meeting. UTC. Ps was told of some things happening but will wait for official announcement from the promotion
  4. Young Luke sounds very much like his dad Frank trying to get round Wolverhampton and belle Vue many years ago !!
  5. Common sense and speedway don't go together, everyone should know that by now
  6. Never rains in worky just liquid sunshine will probably put water down gor meetings
  7. Press and practice day announced Sat 6th May 12.00 UTC
  8. Can see Cammie knickers walking round the pits with this
  9. Saw the forecast decided to stay in bed rather than an early start fra wukinton
  10. Thanks for info. Tried app and tablet via Google still not taking a payment, it's too late now,. bsn and belle Vue won't be getting my £15 now. Sent message to. bsn for record just in case a payment has been taken without getting the stream
  11. Any one else having problems buying BSN stream had an on screen message for last 10 min " processing your ppaymentis being processed it may take a while " about to give up hope they don't take a payment!!
  12. It's getting closer !!! Plenty of photos and videos on social media of behind closed doors practice yesterday, did not hear the bikes at Seaton as a north east wind was blowing the noise out to sea . Can't wait till may 13 th UTC For anyone with inside information will open practice sessions run before the season? Will help bed the track in and raise money for the club if they go ahead
  13. Am sure Mr Godfrey will sort some rule to suit his needs !!
  14. Late 80'd early 90's 3 of us set off from Workington on good Friday morning meeting at Oxford, got to stadium but rained off 1 hour before meeting start, spent afternoon in Oxford, onto Swindon for evening meeting, dry all day until 6.45 heavens opened meeting called off, long return home to Cumbria 700 mile round trip no speedway but plenty of laughs
  15. For anyone interested a new comets supporters club is due to be launched soon, info on social media and website. UTC
  16. Seen some photos of the BSN launch, found it very unusual for the Glasgow pair not to have team suits, only one wearing them. And not even any body colours!! Which for a high profile league launch I find it very strange, has Glasgow lost the normal PR team/person they had ??
  17. IMO Workington won't have much home track advantage as it's a new track for every rider, yes the comets riders will have some extra practice but with most riders doing other things, time maybe a limited factor to get in extra practice, and I'm a comets fan, but looking forward to a season of good racing while the young kids improve their speedway riding
  18. Good read in this week's speedway star interview with Steve Lawson . 2 months to go UTC
  19. Last year see tickets t+c's said no print outs accepted
  20. Hope you are not on the drink the night before don't want you and the pits going up like a rocket
  21. Last week's speedway star said a feature on the new Workington track is in this week's edition, saw some photos at the weekend, pits up roof still to put on. The viewing terraces/banking starting to green up and looks to be great viewing, maybe THJ has more inside info
  22. As it stands at the moment. Eurosport official provider for British premiership something like 18 meetings and British final, discovery/ Eurosport for GP coverage, then if you subscribe to BSN you can access more premiership meetings, also BSN cover the championship, 36 meetings for around £130 just less than £4 a meeting, a big saving compared to travel from Cumbria to watch some championship meetings
  23. Maybe belle Vue will stream it, this Cumbrian will pay to watch
