  1. What about the son of one of your old top riders (not lawson) Frazer Bowes ?
  2. 1 thing stood out at Poole for me being a visitor fra worky. After your (big) win their was no parade of the riders to take the fans applause. I think the fans should be able to cheer the team after the results, And it looked a decent crowd, swelled by around 20 travelling fans
  3. Poole very good, all have set ups sorted, comets very poor apart from batch, oh well long journey home 2morrow. Hope the comets regroup for Saturday. Met a couple of posters off here at Poole nice to meet you guys
  4. Well nearly 24 hours after that shambles last nite, got to have another say, about 20 comets fans travelled down spent our money on admission food and drink, probably in the region of £500 + 1st no track preparation was done until 30 minutes before the meeting, then a 30 minutes delay, had an interval, then 1 heat later they decided to do some track work, we witnessed terrible speedway on a terrible track, this is giving speedway a bad name, yes the comets won, but speedway is the loser
  5. The table topping comets come to take on the wannabees pirates the southern tour continues for the worky fans see you trackside UTC give us a C
  6. What a shambles of a club thought it would have been better this year not ten times worse embarrassed my company name is on that race suit Unfortunately this taken off a Plymouth Facebook post !!!! If this team is to survive the track has to be lots better, the home fans won't keep turning up to watch this . Yes I'm happy the comets have won away, worth the 400 mile trip to get the result. But as a speedway meeting it was very poor
  7. Awful track one of the worst I've seen in 55 years following speedway, but a win is a win worth the 400 mile trip on to poole 2morrow UTC
  8. Worse than a bouncy castle and I'm watching at the track
  9. If the lights are as good as the track it will be racing by candlelight
  10. At the track looking well dodgy soft patch on 3rd bend
  11. Or triple deal as they bought a load of them GTR engines that were gonna save speedway, bet Godfrey can't get in his garage for them
  12. We choose to run on Saturday afternoon as it suits the crowd ,we get loads of kids through the door and these are the future supporters of speedway. Also suits a lot of the away supporters they can be home mid evening, no after midnight return home, How many kids go to Plymouth. ? Saturday/Sunday afternoons work in Poland, and other European countries, why can't it work in the uk ? It seems to be working at worky
  13. Transponders the VAR of speedway, have heard they are not working at all tracks, also heard Mr Godfrey had a choice which ones to buy, he choose the cheap option rather than the ones that work
  14. No need to buy a beer just come and have a crack got a feeling you won't miss us
  15. Even the BBC weather app is showing a favorable weather forecast. Hope not too much rain in Plymouth today, but it may have helped bed the track in UTC
  16. Worky did not get approval off Mr Godfrey and Co till mid November after the promoters conference, by which time most teams were already signed up, as far as i know worky got no money off the people in charge, its a massive gamble for the promotion, but so far so good. the management had to think out of the box to sign a team, hence 3 new riders to the uk, let's see how they go at Plymouth 2morrow, hope you give the many travelling fans a warm welcome . UTC And I hope your track is in a better condition than last week
  17. The weather seems to have changed for the better on Tuesday, hope today's rain is not too much. The worky fans are either already on holiday in Devon or setting off today/tomorrow for the long 400 mile trip down. Could be a good meeting, my 1st visit UTC ps Plymouth fans can join in as you have not started a thread off yet
  18. Imo lawson is another back wheel chaser if he doesn't make the gate
  19. Noticed a couple of times on Saturday Worrall was doing the follow the back wheel but not doing enough to pass, and did not seem to want to make an effort to pass, but suppose once a gating tart always a gating tart
  20. Looking forward to my visit to poole watching the comets , can't see us winning but we may keep it close, as lots of teams/people been surprised by the comets., we are weak at reserve but we will give it a go UTC
  21. I know uou tigger fans are a bit unhappy about your teams performance, but remember you still have speedway and good people bank rolling you, if you complain too much these people may disappear, then where will Glasgow be ?? Another point if the team is not performing sometimes the manager has to go . Who would you ditch 1st a under performing manager or rider
  22. Apparently starke at reserve next Month, may score some points for you then, if not will be like our reserves and score not many !!
  23. Well that was an entertaining meeting and some good races, and plenty of tigger fans to enjoy all the northside arena has to offer. With the comets taking the bonus point looks like the reigning triple H18TORY making comets are better than the reigning champions
  24. Maybe came among the tigger fans to say bye bye as you seem to want to get rid of him
