  1. Actually it's the 3rd birth of the comets, 1970 to 1981 , 1999 to 2018 and 2023 to ?? Plus Glasgow borrowed Derwent park in 1987 until they got thrown out in poo gate fiasco !!! Also about 6 very junior meetings were held in 1985 Think the present day national development league is very competitive, where heat leaders don't get it all their own way, with some very good 2nd strings and reserves, all which imo brings good speedway, yes we all would like the comets to win, but speedway is back and enjoy the ride. While watching the riders develop and we may see the next Dan bewley coming through the ranks , one of these imo Aston boughen at 15 years old looks very promising
  2. Must av special belle Vue bikes !!! Hope he brings them to northside arena on Saturday
  3. Live on disco + still trying to find out if/when eurosport are showing a as live or repeat coverage
  4. Sorry have not seen details of go fund me or what difficulties Kent maybe in !! But surely need to promote what is an attractive fixture
  5. Bit of a poor show by Kent's supporters!! Comets fans on the long drive to Kent having to post to publise the meeting, enjoy boys

  7. So do the comets mini bus of fans on way to Kent after Leicester meeting called off tonight, heard they are going via some cow show to fill in the time on the way
  8. Kent will be used to early starts, home meetings start at 12.00,
  9. Think £££s will be dangled for the 15 year old, only one club can do that in the north , unless that big club down south dangles the cash and the beachside living
  10. Imo today showed why Mr bickley should not be considered for a comets team place, got an average of 9 points in the league, but struggled to score 5 today, did not look that interested, pulling up twice when at the back, but may have had bike issues, but it was still running
  11. Agree with all you say, another star in the pits was ex world champion Gary havelock
  12. But he wasn't as good as ??? But tai may sign when you go into top league
  13. Had a rough head count imo 300-350, but when I was at Edinburgh the other week the head count was 175, and about 40 comets fans, as for next year who knows what is happening in speedway at all levels
  14. Unfortunately imo your estimate of crowd is a long way out, but individual meetings never attract a good crowd anywhere, but a very enjoyable meeting missed by many people, but what a talent that young Aston boughen is will go a long way in the sport if he keeps grounded
  15. Very impressed by the tiggers new signing winning the meeting at northside arena today
  16. How far oop north Geoff?? Somewhere in Scotland
  17. A bright and breezy day, should be some good speedway racing later on today , get down to the northside arena to support the speedway UTC
  18. Too high an average to fit into Comets side, and wanted too much money over winter to sign as a comet, but good luck in riding on Saturday
  19. Good effort by comets fans and further afield heat and rider sponsorship sold out in a couple of days
  20. BSN got commie summed up trying to sign riders for next year
  21. Isn't Workington a newly opened speedway track ?? And every body has good reviews of what it's like
