  1. I'm hearing (dispite being in Greece) that a recently retired young west Cumbrian rider was having an after meeting skid round, is he coming out of retirement to replace one of the comets? If we dropped our no 4 ( injured/bike problems) would it fit in the points limit
  2. Following on updates seems like better team won, no complaints at that, but looking at score cards too many engine failures and last places for the Comets, can't win if you don't finish or finish last, but these are mainly young kids so a big learning curve, but Mr crang is old enough to know the bikes should be able to finish a race !!!
  3. Holidays planned before fixtures out, and even before it was confirmed that the comets ride again
  4. Should still be a good meeting at the sunny Northside area, little bit of rain today good forecast for 2morrow, with the first rain for over 5 weeks, may mean the track riders a bit different, and don't forget the club is showing ithe GP in the marquee after the meeting, with bbq and can bar available UTC unfortunately I'm on my way to Greece so can't make it
  5. Turned up with Leicester at Northside areana last week, done the track walk with the team. Then disappeared, all sorts of rumours why, and Leicester eventually put a statement out, and got fined, but the person involved appears not to be punished by the bspa due to being a minor !! Seen the boy a couple of times this season, very impressed for a 15 year old, hope it was a silly mistake and he goes far in the sport, as we need young British talent
  6. Aston boughen is a talent not 16 till August, also got a lot in common with Cammie knickers, both like throwing toys out of prams
  7. Thankfully an early call off, the comets supporters bus got as far as Penrith, then turned back, 25 disappointed comets fans, but cud av been worse and called off once we got there
  8. Coming down on the comets bus, for my 1st visit to mildenhall, could be a close meeting and could go either way, hope the thunderstorms stay away UTC
  9. Also as Mr boughen left the arena with his toys behind him, the fans who pay good money, had to witness 3 X 3 rider races, and miss out seeing a very good young prospect in Mr boughen BUT this episode may go against him in the future, hopefully will have learnt by his mistake
  10. Not a bad article, good coverage for some sponsors,BUT how come it ends on how good am I the local MP !!!
  11. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02XbHWJpPdFVsanNCfHWfSR7qyCbpF8GWd3jxYiGgKphx9NPF5sMCLBjb74Fh5Zkasl&id=100089529991026&sfnsn=scwspmo Hats off to the promotion for trying to do something different, would love to attend but will be on way to Greece
  12. I could go into the reason for the stamp on the hand, but would rather not, hopefully the stamp will stop the under hand thing happening in the future!!
  13. From this week riders not allowed to park vans inside the big pits area at Northside areana, in previous week's some vans were turning up with several passengers and not paying to get in !!! Think only 1 rider 1 mechanic allowed free
  14. That's because it's Poole they get away with anything
  15. A good meeting today some good racing, may have been a different result if young Mr boughen did not throw his toys out of his pram !! Hope the several Leicester supporters enjoyed their trip Upto Costa del worky, also heard the ref Mr McGregor was very impressed with what he saw at Northside areana
  16. Regarding Mr boughen, just heard at the track that he or someone in his crew was not well, but if true still should not have left the meeting . Some type of information should be released to put the storey true
  17. Mr boughen was at northside arena, but apparently did not like the new pits layout, no vans allowed in the pits now, , he wanted to use the car park beside his van as his own personal pit !!!
  18. Gonna be a tough and interesting meeting, Leicester look a strong side, roynan could not be as bad this time as in the Edinburgh meeting, looking forward to seeing young Aston bougham looks to be a very good prospect 3rd week in a row he has been to the Northside areana, the comets need to be on top form and carrying no passengers to win the meeting, also a njl meeting then tha day rounded off by a group, another sunny day forecast . UTC
  19. make me and numerous other stay away fans, want to return and spend my money to help keep the club in existence. All I can say if you and other people think like this Birmingham won't survive the season, got to support the club now or it won't exist anymore, and probably won't come back especially as the greyhounds appear to want to do something different
  20. Think any track would struggle to be dust free, been no rain in worky since end of April, always been a breeze which drys things up fast, can only put so much water down at a time without it being a swamp, only the man up in the sky can water the best, same as your plants in the garden, you can water them, but when it rains on them, they seam to bloom better
  21. The windmills will give you a good idea of wind direction, but on Saturday the wind direction changed through 180 degrees, you could see the windmill blades turning to catch the new wind direction
  22. If dusty and wind in right direction, the newly installed seats on bend 1 give a great view, but saying that not a bad view from anywhere
  23. Only 2 ladies at worky today, Celina and Katie, Celina very stylish but poor Katie took a heavy by fall when her bike flipped coming off the start gate, took a ride in the ambulance, but thankfully was on center green for the trophy presentation
