Boews is not the problem he's on a 5 point average, seeing tracks for the 1st time, and will be an asset of the club after X number of meetings, yes the attitude of batch is a big problem, but and it's a big but, who on a 8.5 average is available to replace him, palm tree not the answer, a lot of comets fans can remember he once signed for the comets, only to walk away for a better deal at Peterborough, sitting travel issues were the problem.. got to get behind the club and support them through this sticky patch, if no support through the turnstile no comets going forward. At least the supporters turn up on long journeys to support the comets through good and bad, if I did not have an appointment I would have been joining them, well done to the travelling comets fans. But do agree watching on BSN batch was a disgrace

Just seen on social media that comets TV is to be launched at this meeting. Is this a good thing or a bad thing ?? IMO it may stop families/ groups coming to pay £x at Northside but can pay say £14 and several people will sit at home watching the stream, therefore the club loses a lot of admission money. Any more thoughts on this

Unfortunately with the very good weather, it's harder for track preparation, needs a lot of water to produce the grip and keep the dust down, last Saturday imo very little grip and a little bit of dust, at Redcar the nite before no dust, but no grip at all, can see this weekend being the same.. come on comets we can do this UTC

Must admit I have not read the program yet, but find it very strange to mention crowd levels at the very 1st meeting. Like you apart from a couple of meetings late on last year, I thought the crowds were reasonable. But we are not the promotion, so let's stick together and encourage all fans to support the comets going forward, let's hope for some good racing and results, most of all some good crowds, starting this weekend when the bears are in town with a good traveling support. due to the weather and scheduled fixtures looks like the 1st comets team meeting is at Redcar on 2nd of may. This must be the latest start to a speedway season !!!

Glasgow have 2 weekends in May given up for the U21 final and a GP2 qualification round, then other weekends in June/ july various U21 / 23 competitions where Dan Thompson and Ashton Boughen and others maybe unavailable

Not getting involved in how good or bad the comets team is, I've been following the comets since 1970, through good 2018 and very bad 1980 +81 , I'm just going to enjoy the speedway home and away to support the team, and hope the fans turn up to support Andrew Bain and the rest of the backroom team. Hope all have a successful season UTC 😉

Matt Marsden looks to be a good signing for the pilots 😁 suspect he may have a mysterious injury so a 2 point guest rider could take his place until the end of june 😜

If cairns gets an average ( 6 H 6 A ) ? It maybe higher than a reserve level, unless he is conveniently dropped/injured so he does not get an average this year, and is a 2 pointer again in 2026. As Poole are known to bend the rules a little bit
