  5. That's a tactical ride for someone in place of the reserves r/r
  6. Sound idea but the promoter's self interest will not let an sensible ideas work imo
  7. Always let's a team mate through at some point in a meeting
  8. You will be surprised at how high SOME signing on fees are
  9. No they don't trave away from win-board road
  10. Maybe rest of team could be like Richard lawson and look after their average for next season
  11. And who is going to fund these signings ??
  12. Would look at slater lightcap a younger prospect, but getting a visa maybe an issue
  13. If you supported the event by attending or via bsn you would have very little dust
  14. That's what predicted text does and no time to check what's it's done, slater lightcap is his name
  15. Enjoyable meeting for a good cause, Dan Bewley was outstanding, a mention to the young American with a great name Slater lLghthouse a very good prospect, don't know what average he would come on but we'll worth a punt
  16. Very enjoyable meeting and s great result team GB champions . Agree the pricing could have been cheaper to encourage a larger crowd, hopefully the organisers will have run this as a separate company, so if any loses it does not affect belle Vue speedway. Saw no sign of any advertising the event, only traveled M602, mancunian way and A57 passed loads of electronic signs, (a driving hazard imo) these could have been used to advertise the meeting. But been and gone time to move on, , Ben fund meeting today,Cardiff soon, worky meetings home and away in between, loving my speedway UTC
  17. Worky got their own it was scunny who bought wolves stand
  18. Said he struggled on a track where he has to think how to use the throttle a bit, unlike in Poland or belle Vue
  19. All digital tickets this year, apparently they load on your phone a couple of days before the event
  20. Never said bartoz could not ride the NSS track, he's had several laps over previous years and scored well, can't see many riders beating him, but if they do it will be a joy to watch especially if it's a GB rider
  21. Bartoz wasn't a fan of Glasgow a couple of years ago team GB v Poland, struggled a bit on a track you had to think how to ride it
  22. Was mentioned last nite that bartoz went home to Poland to get injuries treated, anyone know how bad they are, and will he be back on Saturday, or save himself for GP and Poland?
  23. Gonna make sure he can get the best viewing spot
  24. From Tates Facebook sounds a horrific injury but seems to be in good spirits get well soon Tate Update After a tough first week I am doing a lot better now. I have been up on my feet doing a little bit of walking. The doctors are very happy with my progress and I hope to be out of hospital by the end of this week. Also another injury added to the list I have torn my Gracilis mussel off my pelvis but they have said it won't need surgery and should heal on its own and be back to normal in a few months. Obviously still in quite a bit of pain but feel like I’m getting stronger every day. When I am released from hospital I will need to come in every 2 days until the doctors are confident we can clean and change the dressings ourselves. Then we come back for the 6 week check up. Hopefully by then I will get the all clear and I will be able to sit on my ass for the 20+ hour flight back home to Australia. Thank you to everyone for your messages and thanks again for those who have come up to visit me. Getting the news there is going to be NO long term damage is a relief … bring on next season. Doctors report 6,7,8,9 left lateral rib fracture - will heal by themselves Fractures of the spine T5 T6 T7 T8 T9 bottom of the rib cage -they are compressed however the ribs will brace them and hold them in place so they would expect they will heal perfectly fine L2 L3 L4 lumber part of the spine wings on the side are broken off - will heal by themselves with time No damage to the spinal cord thankfully Where the Chain adjuster went into his left cheek ( buttocks) -Doctors said you actually got quite lucky it only went through the subcontainious tissues without involving the muscles. The exit wound has been stitched shut The main concern is making sure the large entry wound doesn't get infected as it heals. This will take the longest to heal as we would like it to heal on its own. The latest MR scan of the pelvis showed up a couple of aductor muscles have been torn at the pelvis they are the muscles that bring your legs together these are subtotal (like a very nasty sprain) and they will heal up in time The worrying one or most damage was done to the Gricillus muscle It is torn through and through and totally torn off of the pelvis the TNO surgeon said they won’t operate at this point. They may want to go in and rejoin it but he thinks it’s highly unlikely
