It appears looking at various recent interviews, all is not rosie in Poland regards to money, lots of riders are owed money, and lots of clubs are in debt, more so in the lower leagues, which klint and kilderman etc would ride for
-
Hopefully fixtures will be like last season, worky rode Plymouth Tuesday Poole Wednesday then options for a track on way back north on the Thursday
-
Not a bad signing, but at nearly a 10 point average think he will struggle to maintain that for the season, also liable to go missing if he misses the gate. But good luck to Plymouth hopefully down for a visit with the comets
-
Looks like bspa / Godfrey have got their knickers in a twist, and worky getting the blame either way. Maybe after the new year celebrations worky should put a press release out, and maybe clear things up ( blame Godfrey )😛
-
Apparently Workington were still to confirm a decision about joining the trophy league, due to no northern teams coming forward. But someone in charge ( Mr Godfrey ? ) released a press statement saying worky were going to be involved in the league
-
It appears the comets are not in the NDL trophy league anymore, replaced by Leicester according to article in speedway star. Hopefully the northern junior league is still running Not totally surprised due to the make up of the southern based league, would be financially unsuitable imo for the Comets to take part, but need something at northside to bring the kids on. Maybe run a season long individual where each meeting has some heats and a final, and points carried on throughout the year, top 3 get prizes, surely some sponsors would put up some bike related prizes.

A few years ago wiped Kenny ingles out at worky and resulted in career ending leg injuries. Did not show any concern after the incident
-
Think lewy has ran out of straws to clutch
-
Don't want auty anywhere near speedway if you mind
-
He's gone missing for several years a some point in the season, wait to see how long he lasts at berwick, the last Edinburgh year was understandable in the circumstances
-
But was the same last year when cavarti was out after only doing a couple of meetings
-
R/R as usual
-
Same to you marra
-
Hopefully not, maybe came back a bit too quickly, so a few more weeks to fully recover, start building up the muscle mass up, and be fit and raring to go for the start of the season in around 3 months time
-
Surprised lewy does not know about this ? Seems to think he knows everything about other club's
-
Being negative about the future of the comets is not very good on a public forum. 🤡
-
Time to be more positive in your posts, get behind the comets and stop bitching about what if so and so signed. We have speedway for another year get behind the team, if you can put your hand in your pocket and do some sponsorship to help the promotion out UTC
-
Lewy seems to know a lot about other tracks, bit says very little about Plymouth these day 😛
-
Unfortunately like a lot of other teams, the side is built to a budget, if you don't, you may lose your speedway. But monarchs have a good supporters club helping make up any loss.
-
Get over it, if it was your team/money you could sign whoever you want 🥲 but the promotion have signed batch over cookie so get behind the team UTC
-
As already mentioned THJ had a big fall out with speedway in the grant era at Newcastle, was a good sponsor to speedway in all areas not just Newcastle and worky. Was living part time I scaryport, wonder if anyone local has seen him. As for jenga not heard a peep for a while

Grand Prix Ticket Sales
Neila replied to Beercellar1966's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Grandstand holds around 2000 add 3-4000 temporary seats on 3rd 4th bend, that's 6000 seats and 2000 on backstaight. So looking at 8000 per day, 16000 total, over 2 days more than most other stand alone GPs so will probably make money after costs of temporary seats, just hope tickets are sensible priced, £50 ?? -
Mr Cook went missing either on track like at poole, after being brilliant the nite before at Plymouth, was totally missing at Redcar, and missed the key meetings towards the end of the season, may or may not had a good excuse being a new dad or injured, but appears to go missing most seasons these days, but on his day can be excellent. Batch last season was way better than expected, whether this coming season is the same, let's wait and see

Cardiff GP 2025 Cancelled
Neila replied to Phil's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No airports in Cumbria so got to go to Manchester to get a flight to a GP abroad -
That's seems expensive, 11 meetings at worky £200 for a bronze ticket, silver £240 including parking and programme is better value.
