  1. Oh yes you can, the new bend 3/4 viewing area can be accessed from the starting straight or back straight
  2. More improvements made, now got proper toilets and standing on bend 3/4 and can walk all around the arena now , without going out and back in
  3. Unfortunately looks to be a bad injury, but Tai has done little for the Ben fund who help out all riders, so why make a special case, it happened in Poland, let them do the fund raising. You may not agree with my opinion, but other people maybe thinking the same
  4. Steve lawson has put some new grey shale down, he said it should bind with the red stuff to hopefully make less dust, at least now with the new viewing area on bend 3/4 you can escape any dust, or get a different view, and it's a very good view as well. UTC
  5. Top 5 have to score 9 each to achieve 45 points, reserves poor, but if one of the top 5 have an off night, may mean a few defeats
  6. It starts the day after the incident, also need the ok off a doctors after 9 days to start riding again
  7. Bit of a shake down for the Comets riders today at the press and practice, frazer bowes looked very impressive, and the new viewing area on bend 3+4 gave a good view, so now if any dust on bend 1+2 you can now escape it. The new toilets are ready to use, the GT tyres northside arena is looking even more impressive UTC
  8. Why would he, it was worky press and practice day, cookie maybe riding for the bandits
  9. 9 day rule for concussion starting the day after injury, so he has no chance to ride due to medical rules
  10. More like kemp and track reserve if Mr cook still AWOL
  11. They had no money left after buying GP tickets😅
  12. The young kid is certainly a good prospect, but I think he should think about guest bookings in the premiership before signing full time as soon as he turns 16, then next season hopefully he can be as good as people think he is gonna be
  13. Think it's the top rider from each club, then the next 7 in the averages at the season end
  14. Why? berwicks 1st meeting is Easter Saturday press and practice is a publicity event, so the next weeks meeting is fresh in people's mind, if held now it's 3 weeks to the season start and people forget. Yes worky has p+p next week, but it's 1 week before the pairs
  15. Take on board the bus times, good information for other people to use, but in the 1st SON 2016 ? I ended up walking back to the city centre as the buses were full and going past the stop, or that many people were waiting to board a nearly full bus it was taking ages. The similar will happen this time imo
  16. Would suspect the fan zone will be on the hockey pitch behind bend 3-4, which is not very big, was busy last year for SON with not a lot going on. I've decided not to go, yes the cost is high, but i can afford it. The main reason is the lack of a socialising area anywhere near the stadium, lack of nearby parking, and belle Vue Stadium does not have the best infrastructure to support a large crowd., and the GP field is weak this year, the point system is unfair in my opinion, where someone can finish 10th and still win the GP. A good bus system is on during the day but after 7pm is restricted back into the city, so big queues, like at the 1st SON a few years ago, if you decide to walk to the city centre, 40 minutes it is not a very desirable area to walk through. Hopefully will watch on TNT if I can find it or a pub/club th watch it at
  17. Heard a few weeks ago that berwick could not get in touch with Mr Cook regarding size for kevlars, bandits management got in touch with worky and used last year's size. Maybe Craig has put on weight and could not fit into the said kevlars, so on a diet and will return when they fit 😆
  18. Worky has had lots of people down practicing or on training days, Dan Bewley been several times in the past few weeks just saying like 😃
  19. Bet Poole would not hold this meeting if a certain Willie Cains was not in the ndl
  20. Bit away but direct train link to Manchester, I'm staying in Preston Central premier inn, £50 for Friday nite, train in and out of Manchester, drive in on Saturday then back home to Cumbria. That's if I get / can afford a ticket for 2 days
  21. Unfortunately double booked, got a gig to attend, but will make all/most other ones, hotels booked for southern tour, poole,Ipswich and scunny in August 😄
  22. Oops 😅 hopefully my disco + app will still work, get it through bt phone/ broadband
  23. Yes if you break it into a monthly cost, tend to agree, but full pass works out around £4.50 a meeting with 2/3 a week, so for less than a pint I can watch speedway. TNT are only contracted to show 18 meetings for the season
  24. Try telling Poole that, they had some fantastic crowds last year, and I'm not a Poole fan
