  1. Sometimes it's cheaper to fly a rider in rather than pay millage allowance to travel, and some amounts UK based riders are asking is unbelievable, a foreign rider is often cheaper. Think about it how many young riders, good or not so good want to be full time speedway riders, without having a 2nd income !!
  2. That was when he rode for Poole, over riding on a crap track ðŸĪŠ a lot more settled on a decent track at worky 😁
  3. Worky / Northside have been chosen to host the FIM European 125 championship in August. Maybe a minor FIM meeting, but if things go well and the bigwigs are impressed, may lead to bigger FIM meetings being held at Workington in the future ?
  4. Your in the building trade, maybe you could build something new for the stadium, won't take long as to make it fit inside the stadium, it will only take a few bricks 😁
  5. Think you best take your blinkers off, it's a small ?? stadium ( could say more 😝 ) but they are having a good go to attract crowds and entertain the fans so hats off to them for doing that 👍 maybe @lewy could help them out more ÂĢÂĢÂĢÂĢ 😃
  6. Ask @lewy he knows most things, he thinks 🙃
  7. Was rumoured, thought you would know ðŸĪŠ
  8. Most shops were taken over after a buyout, now being renamed TG Hughes or something like that, some shops closed
  9. Think at one time WH Smith were wanting a lot of money to stock the magazine, don't know if it still applies now, but up in worky, speedway star is on the shelves at Morrisons. I get mine via subscription, and today for the 1st time for a while, it turned up on Thursday
  10. Unfortunately think a Friday nite will fit in better for continental commitments rather than a Saturday at worky
  11. Another thread that has turned into a Poole one ðŸĪŠ but at least they are keeping tabs on who are going to beat them
  12. Don't know what speedway you were watching, but Newcastle were definitely a glamour club with Tom and Joe Owen having a 11 point average and winning by big margins, even though it pains me to say this as a comet's fan. Havvy had about 4 very good seasons with the comets, latter to be team manager for various clubs then making Redcar what it is now. RIP havvy
