Useless at predictions, wow that really must have been lemon squeezy

It's amazing how many people use the updates site, but will never help. Maybe antique Steve would love to help you out as he will obviously be there.

Okay I will take the bait, I've been going for 42 years, I can count on one hand how many meetings I missed in 41 of those years, last year I did miss about 5, and this season I've been to the 2 home and 1 away, now if that's what's classed as an armchair critic, then so be it. Add to that the updates site is very good, run by the fans for the fans.

Well I can't make it, as doing something else, so updates is my best option.

I hate being negative about certain things, but speedway is never going to getting crowds back or become a bigger watched sport in this country. There is a very big contingent of Polish people in Ipswich and other towns, and how many of them go? What is it that the Poles that love speedway don't watch it over here. There is clearly something that does or more likely doesn't happen in this country that doesn't appeal to people anymore.

Who knows, but I'm blaming him anyway.

That may also be the case, but I've never seen or heard of anyone getting better at anything unless they practice it.

How are they finding it hard to get? Not sure about your eyesight but mine can clearly see an empty track after meetings. Or am I not meant to notice things like that.

At least they are not robbing the paying public and going with the easy rr option.

Totally agree, I have a vested interest in my club that I want it to win things, the riders just want money, but I know if I owned the team or was manager I would insist they practiced after the meetings to show the fans that they do care about my club, or they would be looking for employment somewhere else. I have already decided I won't be going next week, until they put the effort in, I certainly won't be puttmg any effort in. luckily for me, I'm not the typical speedway fan that will just keep turning up whatever.

That just about explains it all, they take everyone for mugs. It's just same old same old every season.

By only one rider practicing again though, isn't taking it for granted exactly what they are doing? Surely the team manager or owner should be telling these riders to get out there, or maybe they are also taking my support and my money being handed over for granted. It's one of the only sports I know where people don't take every opportunity to practice and get better.

Since we have lakeside in the first round of the knockout cup coming up soon, are we basically out of that at first chance also?

I honestly think the answer is, they don't care, they obviously get enough money to make it pay, they are not fans, so could you honestly put your hand on your heart and say they they give one single monkeys to how you feel as a fan.

Shame for the panthers owners that ipswich have been such drivel so far this season, it will clearly have a massif impact on the size of the travelling support.

This may come across a bit harsh, but it's my opinion.. Heeps racing form seems to in cycles, one decent season, then a not so good one, unfortunately last season was a good one. His biggest problem though is making good start's on a consistent basis, so as a fan I find it disappointing that he is never out after a meeting doing starts and first comers time after time. It's clear to see that on his good night's he does have a talent, but again I don't think it's a talent that will be achieved on a regular enough basis. This year's team looks to have been built with everyone reaching their potential, unfortunately it's very rare for that to happen.
