What about Tero Aarnio? I think his average is 6 something if you could get him in and maybe replace Zac W? It would make a huge difference although he does ride in Poland I think so he may miss some meetings.

I agree it’s definitely a false average for him but thems the rules. You could say the same thing about Clegg and Lambert for us Clegg has had a pretty decent start to the season but his average is still below Lamberts which is probably beneficial to us because I don’t see Lambert scoring much even from reserve.

I don’t really agree with that to be honest, I like Mountain too so whoever is at reserve either Perks or Mountain I think they’ll both score well personally.

How is it average manipulation? Perks had a good season for Redcar a couple of years ago his average rocketed to over 5 I think then he got left on the shelf so to speak last year until he was signed on a short term deal by Peterborough halfway through the season he was playing catch up and struggled at no2 this season Mountain has over taken him in the averages I fail to see how or where the average manipulation is? I’d say they’ve built there team better than us regardless of who they have at 2 or 7 they will be strong.

I think all the question marks and worries we had at the start of the season are happening. Bjerre & Jorgensen can be great but can also be woeful. With Stevie having a few bike problems too we are struggling and if Stevie has an off night I’m not confident the other two heat leaders will step up. It’s a massive ask to win meetings with underperforming heat leaders. Phillips too apart from one meeting has done nothing. You can’t expect to win meetings when your carrying 2 maybe 3 riders a meeting.

Hugely entertaining meeting tonight one of the best I’ve seen at Newcastle for a long time. Some great passing by Jorgensen & Richie W. Is Lasse fully fit? He struggled all night and he looked so slow. Not sure how long we can keep going with Lambert he just doesn’t look comfortable at home I’d imagine the next set of averages will see him and Clegg swap? I can’t even see Lambert scoring much at reserve. Leicester look quality, i’d be amazed if they didn’t win anything come the end of the season. All in all a great advert for speedway!

I’m not saying it’s right at all but riders missing certain away tracks is nothing new though is it? I can remember riders regularly missing trips to Sheffield and Exeter in the past. Teams generally used to use r/r which would score better than said missing riders.

And still no official word of why he was missing? Actually just read the Edinburgh website they have a not so subtle mention of Garrity’s dislike of traveling to Armadale.

Yeah that’s what I thought was he riding abroad last night then? I seen him Harris & Ellis were meant to be riding abroad last night but no mention of it anywhere else.

Is Steve Worrall riding in this? Or is he riding in some meeting abroad?

I quite like Coles he was at Newcastle a couple of seasons ago his gating wasn’t too bad he was usually in points scoring positions but just couldn’t get the hang of brough park and he used to fall quite often unfortunately, when he later got dropped. I’ve always thought he had something about him but for whatever reason he hasn’t seemed to have kicked on which is a shame.

What happened to Ben Hopwood? Would he fit can’t remember what his last average was.

Nothing against Danny Phillips and I know it’s very early in the season but how much longer can/do you persevere with him? He’s not even scoring at home. You could sign someone like Jordan Jenkins admittedly he’s probably not ready for championship racing and may not score much or at all but at least he’s young and has potential to improve.

He was very much the same when he was number 1 for Newcastle I was pretty disappointed with him in all honesty now I don’t think brough Park is his favourite track but I thought he would dominate so much more than he did, especially in the big races.

Can we put Phillips at 6 and Clegg at 7? It would make more sense surely we are quite vulnerable at home in heat 8 with Lambert and Phillips currently. Also pairing Phillips with Jorgensen would be less risky more often than not Jorgensen can look after himself.

In the statement Scunthorpe have released it says he might be reintroduced so maybe the rules have changed I’m not 100% sure.

List might be back in the team sooner rather than later because with Ayres he seems pretty injury prone and there’s always the risk he will crash.
