  1. Like the council one person working and half a dozen plus observing
  2. He nearly wiped his team mate out in the rerun too.
  3. Had to laugh before heat 3 Nicholls and Tatum talking before the race saying Starke can be a party pooper and pop out the start as he's a good rider.... 20 seconds later when he's leading said race the pair of them saying Starke the one rider we didn't expect to be winning this race haha
  4. Personally I thought Nicol should've been excluded there.
  5. I know it's easy to look back now but it makes you wonder just how much money Rob actually lost, twice he had the begging bowl out last year which the fans came to the rescue, and then the Poole/Plymouth double header was a really good crowd and then the supposed "last" meeting at brough was a huge crowd. Then in the off season apparently we had all these new sponsors who pumped shed loads of money in. Then he put a sub standard team out and he couldn't have paid much points money this season?
  6. Did Congreve do enough meetings to become an asset? Not that it makes much difference now I suppose.
  7. So can we assume this is why he's having a quick fire sale to clear any debts he currently has?
  8. I think we all know that her getting a wildcard was a box ticking exercise.
  9. Hello just need a little bit of help anyone, I have a firestick and it's got a vpn but I don't have the channels to watch the polish speedway does anyone know if there is an app I could download or anything? Thanks Stephen....
  10. Haven't Berwick and Birmingham both had help from Glasgow to get riders in though? So it can be done!
  11. Surely the most beneficial thing to do would be copy what Edinburgh do and only allow fans who are so many miles away from the stadium to buy the stream?
  12. Bit of a tea time teaser for everyone I wonder if we've had more number 7's since Grant took over or home wins
  13. Complin is experienced enough to think oh I'll try the inside for a lap or two and put pressure on Edwards see if he makes a mistake but he never. Wells has looked very tentative so far.
  14. Everyone knows there isn't really an outside line at Newcastle now so what does Complin do spends 4 laps trying the outside, then Wells left a gap as big as the grand canyon in heat 4, do riders actually watch what is happening between races?
  15. As THJ says someone from the club who actually tells the truth on what is happening. You've got to think as well our fan base probably like most clubs is a very ageing fan base who probably some don't have mobile phones or internet access and the only way of finding out what is happening with the club is to buy the speedway star you'd think the club would make every effort that whatever was being printed in the speedway star had been checked, checked and checked again. You've got the (supposed) number 1 saying one thing and then the club saying something else to then say what was in the speedway star didn't come from the club, well where did it come from then? It just smacks of being so amateurish.
  16. It's a difficult one as you say and many clubs not just ours is very poor for communication but every week the promoters still expect the fans to turn up and pay there hard earned cash. Rule number 1 is always look after your customers because without them you have no speedway. I've been going since it reopened in 97 and I went every week during the 04 season maybe when Dickie Juul was number 1 until we signed Lyons so it's not about just seeing a winning team, just the whole nights package is like getting kicked in the balls repeatedly imo. It never starts on time meetings always take 2+ hours to run and the past few seasons I don't think the racing has been good.
  17. Vaculik maybe? Isn't Bjarne working with him at the gp's he might've been the go between telling him how much he enjoyed last season just guessing?
  18. I hate to say this but since Rob has taken over the club it's become an embarrassment, he's twice put together massively under strength sides, the team manager merry go round, dropping the gems after a couple of meetings, the will we run or won't we. The track debacle and now the two versions of events from club and rider this weekend we just seem to bounce from one disaster to the next. Now say what you want about the previous promotion and they may not have been everyone's cup of tea but 8 times out of 10 they would put a competitive team out on track. There's no doubting Rob is a great businessman but his speedway decisions leave a hell of a lot to be desired. We've effectively signed one average reserve to replace another after bringing him halfway around the world and only giving him a few weeks you have to wonder whether the deal to bring in BWD was yeah I'll come but you sign my mate as well who knows? I understand riders maybe unwilling to want to ride on Sunday because of Poland or whatever but in the past we've had the Worralls, Kerr, King, Barker, Starke they have to travel a hell of a long way to come here but they did so why can't we get them now? And looking at some of the shambles we as a club seem to go through it's going to get even harder for riders to ride for us imo. I sincerely hope Rob can pull a rabbit out of the hat because if not I really fear for us lasting the rest of the season!
  19. I know Nicki has been in good form this year but he's had a few big crashes the last couple of seasons. Might be a good time to call it a day and get out while he's still in one piece imo.
  20. That's a shame I'd have definitely bought it had there been a stream.
  21. Was there any news if this was being live streamed? Or was it a straight up no.
  22. Ahh the Jack Smith who thinks he's as good as Zmarzlik (in his own mind) but regularly finds himself without a Championship place.
  23. You'd probably lean towards the start of your sentence. Either way I think Birmingham should come out and either release a statement confirming he's still at the club or he isn't because all it highlights again is the contempt promoters hold for the paying public they won't say a word but still expect everyone to go on Wednesday and then they wonder why no one bothers when the majority of clubs can't be bothered to keep there fans (the people who count) up to date with there team.
