I haven't been on this section in a few days... 49 PAGES??? Christ. I really do apologise for saying this, but some of you really must be very sad. I'm as disappointed as anyone that we only got the silver, but surely it doesn't warrent 49 blooming pages worth of complaints about one incident???

That is sad I think Hans has got the message about his level of support from British fans by now. Time to be more civilised about this matter. No British supporters are happy that we lost this meeting, but there is always next year. It was a great night of racing. No, a great WEEK of racing. It would be a shame to allow this one incident to ruin it. Look at the bright side: 1) We went one better than last year and got the Silver. 2) Nobody was injured all week. Time to move on.

ST - I taped the meeting. Email me off the forum if you'd like me to bring the tape to the next meeting, I'd be more than happy to lend it to you. After I've watched it myself of course... I haven't seen the flipping thing yet!

Can I just make an attempt at the voice of reason here? Everybody has an opinion. The forum is here for us to be able to state it. DO NOT blame Phil, that is completely unfair, the poor guy works his backside off for us on this forum (AND THAT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!! ) and what we members post is not his fault. If the mods or the admin feel that a posting is unsuitable then they will remove it, but just remember that they are normal people who have families, jobs, hobbies and other responsibilities. I'm sure they don't have time to trawl through every single posting in this 10 page thread (there is an identical thread in the WTC forum btw) and scrupulously analysing every word for double meanings. To expect them to do so would be unreasonable. We should just be greatful for these people and remember that without them, we would have no forum.

Query: Why is what you're doing any different to emailing the nationals? Why should you be condemning one and instigating the other?

I haven't seen the meeting yet, so I can't comment on Hans' performance, but it sounds very cut-and-dry. Not even the Ippo fans were sticking up for him. I don't see why you should. Or is he "fit"? BTW - Ippo fans, don't boo or jeer him. You've heard him say on Sky just how much he enjoys it and thinks it's funny. A nice stony silence should do the trick.

I've just watched the final of the GP again... did anybody else notice that Crumpie leapt out of the gate and made a beeline straight into Pedersen? Haha, you know, when Nicki started charging up the home straight after he came off I truly thought that he was trying to catch up with the other riders on foot!!

I don't have any particularly strong feelings either way about Pedersen, TBH. I just call it as I see it, in this case, I think that the "Crump" incident was a pure accident, if it had been any other rider (who doesn't have a rep for controversial moves) then none of this "he did it on purpose" stuff would be on here. Also, a great effort to get his bike off the track, but Nicki, surely it would have been easier to wheel the thing off the track as opposed to dragging it??

Absolutely classic TV from Mr Pedersen tonight! Had me in stitches every time he came out!!!
