  1. Mate, the Craven meeting is no more official than Polish friendlies. Except the riders in the friendlies will be paid three or four times as much as at Belle Vue. You choose.......
  2. I love watching at Somerset, great shape for great racing. When I've been there, which is quite a lot, the surface complemented the shape.
  3. Maybe Scott Nicholls has had a lucky escape?
  4. There will be four World Pairs events, but surely only ten GPs?
  5. You sure about that? That wasn't what I was told about Ashfield 'curation' by someone in the know about such things?
  6. I don't know if there will be, mate. As I see it, and presuming UK law marches with Australian law, your BSPA is a "club" and as such can make private rules if agreed by members. Like golf clubs choosing not to accept women and stuff like that.
  7. Pretty sure Rob's not for persuading, but Ellis Perks most certainly is.
  8. With Doylie, young Jack and big Jake in the side, I'm certainly a Rebel at heart this season. Hope to be able to make several visits while in Europe later in the year. Go for it, Rebels!
  9. Interesting quote there. But good luck to Jordy, looks as though he'll be our only newcomer in the British leagues this year, thanks to your Thesesa May's visa rules. Why don't they apply in Poland?
  10. No news at all out of Somerset recently? We read the criticism (probably justified) of their Jason Doyle signing announcement being swallowed up by the Christmas holidays. Not good PR, if they are to progress they'll have to perform like a professional outfit off the track as well as on it. Debbie is in Queensland just now, and OTA programme columnist Dick Barrie is also in Australia -- are they looking out for new Rebels for the future?
  11. Does anyone have an update on James Davies' condition?
  12. Gonna be hot! Forecast for Friday is 43 degrees, Saturday 44! Slip, slop, slap!
  13. Aussie young guns on show at Mildura on Friday (19th) for qualifier and Saturday (20th) for U-21 Final. Plus U-16 titles. The future awaits.
  14. Never thought much of the English-born Pom Jason Crump........
  15. Ellis Perks is sitting in Australia without a club in the UK. Bears should have gone for him, rather than the unknown quantity
  16. Surely that should be dependent on the calibre of nominations? The WA Title line-up is a joke in that respect, yet offer a free pass for visas year on year. As a matter of interest, when did the number of visa places drop from top four to top three in State Titles, and has this ever been publicised?
  17. The Joel Andersen kid that Edinburgh have signed is in Aussie just now, I'm told. Is he going to be racing at all the tracks, oir is it just a holiday?
  18. Which is true, it certainly wouldn't be. But at Somerset when I was there (three times) in 2017 the programme contained far more than the race listings and adverts. There were pages and pages of off-beat and entertaining articles by good writers. To me, the Somerset programme is very good value for money!
  19. One thing Aces fans can be sure of, Rphan Tungate and Max Fricke are winning meetings for fur Down Under right now. Bang in form for the Aussie Title series starting this weekend.
  20. Zaine Kennedy performed w ell in State Title meetings, it is unfortunate he chose not to nominate for the National Title series.
  21. James Davies will replace Justin Sedgmen, I am informed.
