Exactly Steve. So we just got to make the most of it and be thankful we still have speedway at Newcastle.

It's been proved in the past few seasons when we have been forced to race on a Monday there's been a big reduction in the size of the crowd. So although Sunday racing stops us attracting riders who race in Poland it looks like something we just have to get on with. The promotion can't afford to loose even a small minority of the crowd. I'd imagine it's something they've thought about loads of time but just doesn't seem viable. An example was last season against Glasgow in the cup with the tie hanging in the balance failed to attract a decent crowd for a Monday.

Anyone starting to become a bit concerned that we still haven't signed our last 2 riders. I know some will say don't panic. We will obviously have 7 riders sooner or later. Never known our team not to be finalised this late on.Will we get a number 1?

Yes it's getting a bit worrying. Although I think there's still decent riders out there it depends what sort of budget we have. Either way we have got to be pleased we will get our weekly speedway fix soon

Yes obviously. The BPSA would have made sure Redcar were equipped to hold the meeting before they granted them it.

Totally agree. Although he might still do a better job for Scunny than the few names mentioned to fill their last place.

Agree but I think he would have got the hang of it as I think he's a better smallish track rider. Perhaps we'll never know.

Although I love going to the fours at Peterborough I'm not complaining about Redcar hosting the meeting. I live in Newcastle and obviously it's a lot closer but I think Redcar is a great track and have seen many great meetings there. I'm sure a lot of thought would have gone into staging the meeting regarding parking access etc... Good luck Redcar I'm sure you will put a good show on and I hope it's well supported especially from the tracks outside of the North.

I totally agree with you Gaz. He has an opinion on everything. What a boring man he is.

I think Danny will struggle big time. He's just came back from a serious injury and reserves this season are much stronger than last. I think he needs a season in the National League. Just my opinion. Don't shoot me down.

I get the impression that we were pinning our hopes on Kennett but unfortunately it doesn't look like it will happen. Atleast we showed some ambition in going for him. Plan B or C now by the looks of it. Don't know whether it has come down to finances.

Always loved watching him. Often guilty of throwing points away but only because he's riding his heart out and I for one would never knock his commitment and effort.

Great news Wilko. Sounds like you have the bit between your teeth and looking forward to enjoying your speedway again. I think you can be a steal on your average and can hopefully bang in loads of points from reserve and then nothing stopping you going into the main body. One thing guaranteed from you is 100% and that's all as fans can ask for. You'll be fine as long as you keep Billy away from your bikes. Lol.
