  1. If that’s what Oxford are trying to achieve, then good on them. Season runs long enough considering how many teams there is so alternating matches weekly could work. Issue with this though is the inevitable rain offs and how they’d be able to squeeze rearranged fixtures in, let alone cup runs etc. But, hopefully they can make it work.
  2. It beats listening to the dross on the radio in the car at the minute haha
  3. Yeah it was this weeks that got released this morning
  4. It’s called round the boards. You’ll be able to find it on Podcasts Spotify etc. I started listening every week this season it’s a good podcast
  5. Not sure how many of yous listen to RTB podcast but a former comet who is a Dane is in talks so you probably won’t be too far off
  6. Very happy with that, think he’ll come on leaps and bounds next season. He’s done very well this year
  7. Need a full debrief off you Neila if there is as I can’t attend haha
  8. Apparently we’ve bought the lights from Peterborough
  9. Decent looking team but I wouldn’t have cook. When’s he’s on, he’s on but he’s a liability these days.
  10. Anyone heard anything about race night?
  11. For me, it’s a no. He’s obviously going through some stuff and what not, and yeah, wasnt doing too bad until the Poole incident. As much as I’d love to see local lads in the team, promotion announced at the NDLRC yesterday that they want to be fighting for titles. Heard it on the grapevine that Steve and Richard and back on civil terms and I would have Lawson over cook any day of the week. Guaranteed at least 9 points every meeting and he would make the N.A a fortress just like Connor has done this season.
  12. Would most definitely have Connor Bailey back if possible. I hope with the apparent demise of the NDL that we don’t lose the young talent. Seen some great young lads round Workington this year. Not that they will, but surely the BSPA can look at having the reserve berths covered by “rising stars” as such. Another change they could make is to have an under 24 rider racing at either 2 or 4 to help bring the young brits on. Buzzing to be back where we belong and hopefully them trophies are back in Workington hands by this time next season.
  13. Had an inclination it would be something along these lines. Buzzing is an understatement! It’s obviously been forced and I think the plan was to probably have a couple more seasons in the NDL but hey ho. Great things on the horizon for the comets and hopefully we can get back that silverware we won. Where to start with a team? Can imagine with the facilities available the riders will be queuing up to sign but, my first signing, wouldn’t most definitely be Connor Bailey. It’s just who you pick from our current crop to fill the number 7. For me it would be either Ace, Luke or Sam.
  14. Aye okay then we’ll go with that. Doyle’s the dirtiest rider on the planet. Near enough fenced him? Don’t know what meeting you were watching but if it was anyone but bomber, that’s a nasty crash. Doyle’s always been the same he’ll never change.
  15. No matter which team your affiliated with, think we all need to take our hats off to Jye Etheridge what a night he’s had, superb performance from that lad.
  16. Wow imagine wishing harm on a rider, when they’re doing this for YOUR entertainment, half wit.
  17. Doyle is already qualified through the GP challenge
  18. Haven’t used forum in forever, ndl meeting so started a topic in there. No need to get ratty now is there. It’s like the speedway friends page on Facebook Jesus Christ.
  19. Could be a dark horse for it I think. Always seems to go well round Workington and just quietly goes about his business. Very professional young rider.
  20. Won’t be holding it at Workington, BSN going to Oxford now instead. Forecasts looking bleak so we’ll see what comes.
  21. A competitive meeting coming up at Workington with on paper, at the moment, a very strong field. 1. Jack Smith (BV). 2.Alfie Bowtell (ML) 3. Max Clegg (ED) 4. Connor Bailey (WC) 5. Nathan Ablitt (KR) 6. Henry Atkins (OC) 7. Dan Thompson (LLC) 8. Jamie Halder (BB) 9. Adam Roynon (EA) 10. James Pearson (BVC) 11. Danny Phillips (BB) 12. Ben Morley (KR) 13. Lee Complin (MFT) 14. Jordan Jenkins (OC) 15. Joe Thompson (LLC) 16. Sam McGurk (WC) Obviously there will be changes to the line up but this is it as it stands. Predictions? I’ll be backing Bailey being the home town favourite but there’s plenty of riders who will have something to say about that. The list to come in etc boasts some good talent too so fingers crossed for a dry day down at the Northside Arena come Sunday!
  22. Finally, somebody else who understands what it’s all about!!
