Nice to see the absolute weapons that were kicking about on here in 2018 are still here now. Right decision to call it off today, the rain we’ve had through night the past 2 nights has been horrendous for a start. The wind today is bad, these bikes can be volatile at the best of times couldn’t imagine trying to keep some sort of control with a 70mph gust battering you. Plenty of free weekends over the course of the season to squeeze this one back in.

Thought batchelor was not too bad tonight

Not the result the us comets fans wanted but never mind. First meeting out of the way, half the team probably never even heard of Berwick let alone laid eyes on the place. Vissing superb, batchelor was steady, areas for improvement obviously but it’s early days. Hopefully nothing too serious with Cook, onto tomorrow.

Newcastle’s track is smoother than this, awful.

Hahahah come off it. Track was nowhere near race able. Course Scunthorpe wanted to race we’ve got a team with a lot of newcomers in. I’d rather see 15 good races than 15 gate, go and follow the leader.

As for next week being off too, I’m sure you’d soon complain if it went ahead with a field nowhere near as attractive as was planned? No pleasing some folk. I’ve heard through the grapevine the final rider is all signed up. Obviously things can change in speedway so if there’s been a little hiccup, I’m sure the promotion have options and are making sure they select the right one. Either way, it’s a decent team on paper. Fingers crossed for a successful season for the comets.
