Well, I’ll eat my words. What a performance from the comets today, out of this world. Good to see Tate has got his mojo back heat 5 was superb. Antti flying again but no complaints about any of the 1-7. Bowes is getting there and riding at 2 will help him. Its good to have Saturday night speedway back.

Very warm morning in Workington today. Hoping for a good evenings racing and a solid crowd too. Hopefully with the later start time, the track will race even better than before. Can’t see anything other than a pirates win however, just thankful we have speedway to go and watch.

Ecstatic that the comets managed to pull through the issues. Massive thank you and a great amount of gratitude to the Facennas for helping out, hopefully the beginning of a very good partnership. Now everyone get down on Saturday and give Andrew, Steve and the comets the support they deserve. Yes, it hasn’t been made public what the issues have been behind the scenes, but, the people who need to know, know. Less of the name calling about people trying there best to keep the sport in our town and how about getting down and backing the boys. Go get turnbull out the box and get yourselves down to specsavers. Not only a blue groove in 1&2 but one on 3&4 too the cameras don’t lie. More entertaining watching paint dry than this tripe, what a horrific track.

I very much doubt it would have been ran without the relevant licenses insurance etc. The SCB wouldn’t have supplied the referee for a start.

Like the promotion can have any effect on the weather. Apart from the ones that have been cancelled in the last week, they have been rain offs. Have a day off.

I’ve sat back and let people crack on but after reading through page after page, I’m gonna say my bit. The amount of people first off running there mouths saying some disgraceful things about Andrew etc is ridiculous. There’s absolutely no need for it. People thinking they’ve got it cracked what’s going on, throwing about silly rumours just to get everybody riled up doesn’t help the situation. I suggest you’s all take a back seat, and await further information. 99% of you clearly haven’t got a clue what’s going on and think you’s do. Wind your necks in, stop abusing the promotion that’s put their hearts and souls into bringing speedway back to the town and stop acting like an entitled bunch. The only people who should know what’s going on at this stage is the promotion, then comes sponsors and when’s the times right, the public will be updated.
