Well according to LIEbour's own internal report the ending of the Winter Fuel allowance will kill off around 4000 of 'em. Then again it's cheaper than the Tory option of using Midazolam. As for incredibly rich generation?

Programme Collection needing a good home
WRDukes replied to False dawn's topic in Souvenirs & Memorabilia etc
A good home is required for a collection of Halifax/Bradford programmes from the mid 80s to 1997 & there's also so a few from other tracks from the 60s, 70s. Speedway Stars, Mail (paper & mag) plus the short lived 5-1. If anyone has room for them, then please get in touch as it would be a shome for them to end up in a skip. -
Best TV Speedway Broadcaster.
WRDukes replied to Youhave2minutes's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
A little off topic - caught the end of a programme called Shed and Buried(?) this evening with that bloke Henry Cole. He purchased an old Lewis Bridger Jawa, got it going & flogged it to a bloke from Hagon Shocks. -

Think you'll find that the Aussie Govt are like the UK's WEFpuppet Govt & many others (Canada, New Zealand, & of course those in the EU) - all in lockstep with each other.. An 80yr old bloke (son of a Nazi) has written a book about what they want to do, it's called The Great Reset (aka New World Order) give it a read.

Should the OAP discount be scrapped?
WRDukes replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think the Govt & NHS call us 'bed-blockers'? You can see why Hancock got 2 years supply of Midazolam just before the start of the 'pandemic' -

Just caught a news item on local radio saying that a former Bradford junior (didn't catch his name) is trying to get Speedway up and running. Looking for £200k to start with - get the lottery tickets bought.

Who has the strongest top 3 riders??
WRDukes replied to ZagarRacing's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes that was quite a team - 1983? - Gundersen, Wigg, King with Alan Grahame and Phil Collins as 2nd strings. Think a young Simon Cross got a few meetings too? -
Not that long since the BSPA had a very good deal with a certain Sky TV - for some reason(s) and after many years of enjoying the cash, they don't appear to have done anything with it? Unless you include giving out a commission to a certain Mr R or paying "top" riders more than they could afford to do so.

Not sure if this is the correct thread or if it's been posted elsewhree but found this on facebook........ "Positive negotiations are currently well advanced to bring speedway back to West Yorkshire for the first time since 1997. Issues such as the track, perimeter fencing and intended pit area have been scrutinised and agreed upon, with professional guidance and no structural limitations remain preventing the sport being re-born locally. Though the track will be to FIM standard, the new team is envisaged to compete initially at National League level and race as the YORKSHIRE DUKES!"

Sad news last week about the death Alan Knapkin. Wore many hats in his time at Odsal. RIP http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/local/localbrad/16093056.Tributes_paid_to_speedway_star_who_was___39_a_credit_to_Bradford_sport__39_/

Seems BT have only bid on one of the football packages on offer & of course Sky have taken up the majority - then again without football there wouldn't be too much on Sky. Seems it works out at something like £9+ million per game over three years. A couple of packages left at a "bargain" £5+ million per game. Hopefully there will be some Speedway news now that the all important football deal is done?

With regard to stats in football - Sky Sports are obsessed with them. Most meters run, most touches of ball, most assists, most tackles - the list goes on. Then again it's probably just a time filler on Sky. I'm no football fan so don't find the stats of any interest and I very much doubt fans are either? Team managers and coaches yes, in fact many clubs employee someone to compile the stats. With regard to football the one stat that would interest me is just how many times these "professionals" fall over every match.
