Unless there are big delays they always try to finish in 3 hours, so that's 8pm for Cardiff as that's when all the broadcast's finish and they get big penalties for running over having to extend satellite time.

Belle Vue Colts Apply For National League
Rob B replied to Rob B's topic in National League Speedway
BELLE Vue have confirmed that they will be running a Colts team in the grassroots National League next season. They were accepted at last week’s annual meeting of the league and then the Aces were given until Monday of this week to make a final decision pending rent talks with their Greyhound Racing Association landlords at Kirkmanshulme Lane. Bosses David Gordon and Chris Morton, already buoyed by the signings of top stars Chris Harris and Rory Schlein for the senior team, continued a good week by reaching agreement with the GRA. Operations Director Morton said: “We are very grateful to the GRA because they were very helpful and supportive in what we are trying to do with the launch of a Colts team. “We need to keep a tight grip on the costs of this team. We have been very keen to promote grassroots speedway, especially as we want to run a youth academy if and when we get the green light for a new stadium. “We are delighted with the co-operation of the GRA because it would not have been possible to have this team without it. “Now we can look forward to seeing the youngsters in action and it will be good to have derby matches with Buxton and Stoke who have also joined the league. “What we need now is for our fans to give the team the right kind of support to make it work.” The National League programme will be for about ten home matches. They will be run on Mondays when the Aces have no fixture but will switch to Wednesdays on the occasions when there are two meetings in a week. Official Press Release Richard Frost -
Best to get hire car I'd say, that's what we always do, Vojens in middle of nowhere really. Had a quick look, looks like you can get combination of bus & train there but not really going back as isn't any till early sunday morning.

Official Press Release - Richard Frost BELLE Vue are negotiating to run a Colts team in the National League next season It would mean around an extra ten meetings at the Kirkmanshulme Lane greyhound stadium in the third flight of the British speedway pyramid which is designed to provide racing for up and coming riders. Local whizzkid Jason Garrity, who has just signed a full contract with the Aces, will be a pivotal member of the team. The club have signalled their interest to the National League management and will attend their annual meeting later this month while negotiations with their Greyhound Racing Association landlords to use the stadium are at an advanced stage. The surprise move is fuelled partly by a frustration in being unable to help young British riders but the possibility of the club having their own stadium is also a major factor. Chris Morton, the Aces’ Operations Director, said: “Nothing has been finalised because the National League haven’t had their annual meeting yet but we will be going with the intention of joining. “We envisage a minimum of ten home meetings and these will be stand alone matches, either on a Monday if there isn’t a senior fixture, or on a Wednesday. “This will only work if we get the right support from fans. That is the risk we would be taking. Running in the Elite League is very tough financially and a National League team would have to be capable of looking after itself. The fans have to want this if it is to succeed.”

Sgp Draws - Will They Or Won't They?
Rob B replied to manchesterpaul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
They use to always do the draw about 1-2 weeks before the GP then some riders started getting suspicious so it was done at practise in front of the riders. You don't have to fill in 20 heats of names, its only the 16 names you have to write in the programme grid similar to what they put in the speedway star, and they provide a seperate sheet in the programme with the riding order. -

Completely different systems, virgin use fibre optic broadband through special cables that your tv comes down too, sky use BT phonelines. I pay a little more but have the best of both worlds, use Virgin for broadband and telephone line and SKY for TV.

Rob B replied to Mateusz's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes Vojens is the only track I think that has purpose designed track covers, they had them specially made last year, cost about £20,000 apparently. Can't just put loads of dirt down though covered up with no watering as would just be load of dust. -

Vojens is always slick doesn't matter if Denmark qualify or not, GB will have to improve their gating. The other thing that always happens at Vojens is the rain! -
