  1. If I was a Somerset fan I'd love this start time! As a BV fan that goes to most away meetings, I'd love to set off early on a Bank Holiday and be home for about 6pm rather then 2am with work the next day! Reason for the early start time is it is stock cars next door starting at 3.30, council won't allow both to run at same time, would be chaos parking etc.
  2. Reason for early start is stock cars start at 4.00 next door. As for Somerset fans, yes it's an early start but they get home nice and early with work the next day. Yes you can pay cash on the day, from either south stand ticket booth (cash only) or grandstand ticket office (cash & cards)

  4. Smith had engine problems in heat 2, he was pumping the throttle as had no power which meant he had trouble sliding into bends.
  5. Cook 15 point maximum beats Lambert 3 times yet Lambert gets picked for GP qualifiers.
  6. When it is very grippy then yes engine power is needed, but when it slickens off and although throttle is wide open it takes a lot of skill to ride the right lines with keep your momentum up, riders like Worrall and Cook have found some great lines to pass riders.
  7. Couple of BV riders said they had no problems with tyres and don't mind them.
  8. Reserves weren't weak on Friday, and nice run out for Bewley tonight.
  9. Heat 11 from Friday (Lindgren tactical ride) : https://youtu.be/Mj15fprty9Q
  10. Hopefully Clean Cut Sports will put it online. Was concentrating on the Cook/Lindgren battle that didn't see Bewley pass Howarth!
  11. We had an hour of very light drizzle but that has passed now and will have barely dampened the surface. Nothing to worry about all set for a great meeting, am sure they will have to be watering the track before the meeting.
  12. Plenty of noise on south side where it's shouting and fists in the air where as grandstand seems to be just applause.
  13. Wow Daniel Bewley taking a bow, passing and repassing Kurtz. Heats 5,6,7 so close finish coukd easily have been dead heats.
  14. You must not have been watching heat 2 then as Smith passed Shanes off 4th bend. Not our fault Poole been outgated and are slow. Heat 5 had more passing in it then you saw all night on Wednesday and near enough a dead heat finish along with heat 6.
  15. Good Belle Vue win last night, result was never in doubt although they did lift their foot off the gas last few heats. Looking forward to some great racing at Belle Vue tonight as was a bore fest last night!

  17. Because Somerset meeting was moved to bank holiday Monday 1st May, Kings Lynn meeting pushed back to September.
  18. South side terracing going back in today : https://goo.gl/HRq9oy
  19. National Basketball Centre is next door too.
  20. Are you sure that was said? My understanding is they are running the stadium too, 5)/5/ why they brought Adrian Smith in to run it as CEO, Mark Lemon is in charge of the speedway club.
  21. Its not just speedway though, that's rent for the stadium, they can use the stadium 7 days a week for other activities if they want, already a local American Football team is renting the pitch and other locals clubs use the pitches too, they need to make full use of the suite facilities too
  22. Extra document been added regards reinstalling terracing and toilets etc on south side. http://www.manchester.gov.uk/download/meetings/id/22854/14_belle_vue_speedway_update_exemption_from_call-in_of_the_decisions
