Belle Vue V Kings Lynn Wed 28/6/17
Rob B replied to hyderd's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If this goes ahead (could be the first rainoff at Belle Vue of the season) can see it being very tight match. Kings Lynn have several riders who ride the track very well. -

Steve Worrall has scored 10+1 (4) and 8+1 (4) at Kings Lynn this year, does well there. -

Good introductions on BT Sport but then let down by that terrible camera angle at rear of grandstand behind the pillar! Track as bumpy as usual. -

I was surprised by empty seats too, always been full in past, I can only presumeNicki Pedersen injury affected attendance. Regards Jason Doyle, we bumped into him (not literally) in motorway services on Friday morning, his foot was all bandaged up with no shoe on and couldn't put any weight on it he said he would be fine but at that point I thought even if does ride he will struggle, what a performance. -

If that was good racing I dread to think what its usually like, the changes seem to have made little difference. Last night track was very patchy to start with which led to some passing at the start mainly due to rider mistakes locking up, there was one excellent move from Grajczonek to go from 3rd to 1st in 1 go in heat 3. After the sun delay the racing was terrible, all from the gate with except of heat 9 I think when Bewley passed Bjerre end of the first lap. -

If I was a Somerset fan I'd love this start time! As a BV fan that goes to most away meetings, I'd love to set off early on a Bank Holiday and be home for about 6pm rather then 2am with work the next day! Reason for the early start time is it is stock cars next door starting at 3.30, council won't allow both to run at same time, would be chaos parking etc. -

Reason for early start is stock cars start at 4.00 next door. As for Somerset fans, yes it's an early start but they get home nice and early with work the next day. Yes you can pay cash on the day, from either south stand ticket booth (cash only) or grandstand ticket office (cash & cards) -

Smith had engine problems in heat 2, he was pumping the throttle as had no power which meant he had trouble sliding into bends.

Cook 15 point maximum beats Lambert 3 times yet Lambert gets picked for GP qualifiers. -
When it is very grippy then yes engine power is needed, but when it slickens off and although throttle is wide open it takes a lot of skill to ride the right lines with keep your momentum up, riders like Worrall and Cook have found some great lines to pass riders.
