Cheap Flights For Gelsenkirchen
Rob B replied to SCOOBYDO's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
German GP has to be the easiest and cheapest one to get to, with a number of airports close by and lots of budget airlines flying to them to choose from. We got Air Berlin from Luton to Dusseldorf for £42 each. -

ELRC - Change of venue
Rob B replied to SCOOBYDO's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Actually last time ELRC was at Sheffield, was terrible racing until the final. -

British Final
Rob B replied to Sandie's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Actually Joe Screen said in the Belle Vue programme last week that he has no ambitions to get into the GP series again but he would love to ride at Cardiff as a wildcard. Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere but apart from the the wild card and reserves, is there still about 4-5 places available for the next round of GP qualifying? -
So no offence but its going to be a bit of a farce then Germany being in the final. Bit like Hungary today.

Can't advise on bars, but can advise take lots of money as its very very expensive there.

Same site as British Gp tickets : http://www.seetickets.com/see/event.asp?o%...=20&filler1=see -
SKY have nothing to do with the cameras. All the cameras are provided and operated by the host country, in this case Sweden, every country gets the same feed. All SKY do is put the commentary over the top from the Studio in London. The only GP SKY have cameras at is the British GP, where they provide all the camera work.

I never said Pedersen did it deliberately, I said he was out of control again which he was. He went over the inside line trying to go through a gap that wasn't there, and then lifted and was out of control and t-boned Jagus.

Gp 3 Eskilstuna May 26
Rob B replied to tarabanko's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not a bad GP tonight, but could have been better, track was very poor. Crump was very poor again, his fall was very bizarre, but typical Crump dragging his bike off the track even though injured. Nicholls and Lindback were crap again, Bjarne Pedersen was very poor, but Lindgren was a big surprise. Felt sorry for Jagus taken off by Pedersen. Andersen looked like he had it sewn up but then seemed to fall asleep towards the end and a great pass from Adams up the inside to take the win. -
Promotors have been trying for a few years to get him over here. Typical out of control Pedersen again causing another pileup, was very similar to what he did to Simon Stead at Belle Vue a few weeks ago when Stead went over the fence.

Some good pics there, like the close up ones in the pits of the bikes etc, different to some of the usual boring pages and pages of single action photos. -
2007 Swc - Who's In For Who?
Rob B replied to BigFatDave's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
SWC is getting a bit of a farce with some of these weak teams now. Think they should maybe just seed two teams straight into the final then 4 other teams battle out for the other two places. -

I would think he will be riding, he didn't break his wrist. -
The New Scoring System
Rob B replied to Grachan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Confused me too, have they changed the rules in regards the pick of gates in the final? The last few years they were done in order of points socred in qualifying heats but last night they seemed to be done on semi final position with Andersen having second pick? -
Who Should Ride For The Uk In The Wtc?
Rob B replied to bazaar3's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
LOl you're having a laugh I don't think Screen will be used but just to point out when Belle Vue were there earlier the season he made a big cockup trying two engines he had bought from Mark Loram setup for Poland, and it was slick that night. I think it will be : Nicholls Harris Stead Richardson Kennett or Howe May just be enough to get through Coventry but won't do anything in Poland. -
Go here http://www.seetickets.com/see/popup_frame....site=speedwaygp and try each price band, it will tell you which blocks are in that price band which you can then compare to the seating diagram.

Marketa Stadium , Prague
Rob B replied to Yorkshire Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Only if you want to sit with a load of British fans, no different really to Cardiff then. Get out on the terracing, its concrete steps all the way round, good viewing from anywhere, get in the middle of all the Poles & Czechs and sample the atmosphere. PS I've been 4 times and its only rained once, even if you sit in the grandstand its not under cover anyway! -

Good to see Jedrzejak getting a reserve spot, but probably won't get a ride. -

Good grief, how many topics are you going to start on Prague? There is plenty of beer stalls and its pretty cheap too, thats why there are so many Poles there.
