  1. You haven't followed his career over the last couple of years have you?!! His home CMA is 6.56 (Cov site), which is better (I beleive) than Stead has averaged this season (quoted on Sky as circa 6.4).
  2. Yes, I meant BJ. Billy Hamill won't ride for the Americans again.
  3. From the William Hill website... 4. I have to say that his interview in Cardiff really shocked me. However, he's due a win and having seen him ride to a maximum on Monday night I'll be checking out the odds on him. I picked Bomber for Cardiff, and called the top 3 (in order) for the F1 last weekend (although didn't have any money on that one) so maybe I'm on a run.
  5. But in order to have some relevance you need to give it some context. You think the prices are high, but compared to what?
  6. Their only chance of finish anything other than last is if Greg and Billy are sensational (IMO).
  7. I don't know if Chris has ridden there before, but it should suit him. Big, fast, and some dirt on the outisde. A tad narrow going in to the turns compared to the size to the track.
  8. I fail to see the relevance. In terms of travelling support Poole is a poor location. You need somewhere central to attract people from all over the country.
  9. Crump. His record there reflect the record Gollob has at Bydgoszcz, and you wouldn't bet against him would you?
  10. I'd have had Howe in the team with Olly, and Stead at reserve in my original line up. With Howe out I'd promote Stead to the team, and call in Louis. He has a great record over the years Coventry. As I've said elsewhere though, Kennett is in and I'll back him. I don't agree with his selection, and I have serious concerns about his form around Brandon. He was shockingly poor again on Monday night. As I said to Steve S and a couple of other Poole fans on Monday, I'm sure he'll work it out one day. I hope for our sakes it's this coming Monday. If he rides to form I expect him to be under threat from BJ, Renat, and Roman of the 'lesser' riders on show.
  11. They can't open the track shop. Mr. Sandhu will be quids in for allowing the stadium to be used, but that's all (AFAIK). One bonus is that he won't have the will it/won't it rain headache on Monday. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll welcome our Wolfie friends, even if they are going to be wearing the wrong colours.
  12. Thought the food/drink had been shipped out? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't think it's bad value. More races, and with the lack of live action recently I'm happy to get any speedway I can. So, Gem, I'll be there.
  13. Hi Vic. I spotted the 'failed log in' posts. Haven't caught up with anything else you've posted yet. Cheers mate. There is a petition thread that I've got significant updates to do on. Booooooo!!! I think everyone around here misses our matches. Thanks for doing that. Class. Not sure I could wear a Wolves tee-shirt, even for a bet. I honestly don't. I'll have to check that out if I get time. Plenty of riders took knocks in those meetings. For so-called challenge/friendly matches there was some rough riding. It meant as much to the riders as it did to us, and good on all of them for it. Grrrrrrrr Stats on that are also on the Cradley website. Sam won 3 and PK won 1. We're sure to cross paths on here quite regularly. I go to Wolves/Cov/B'ham (a few times) so post on their match threads. Happy posting.
  14. Took a few. I'll try to get around to uploading them tomorrow. Nothing too exciting though.
  15. I'll be at Cov for the first round. Plan is to go pretty much striaght from work, pay on the gate, and head for my usual spot on the 1st/2nd turn. There's usually a few forum members there, so head our way if you like. We always stick around in the bar, until they chuck us out , after the meeting as well.
  16. I knew I'd missed some. I know we didn't meet, but I was around so may have seen you in passing.
  17. Actually, the last two posts are typical of people that won't support the Brits. David has had a great season, did a respectable job in the GP, and has a good record at Brandon. He just has to beleive in himself more. Sadly for the Brits I think he lets comments such as many on here affect him too much. He always reflects on the negatives, and never seems to give himself a pat on the back.
  18. Matt - I only took a handful. I'll add them tomorrow. There's one more added though. There's a direct link to it in the 'Who did you meet' thread that you just posted on. All my albums are here?. Can't even remember for sure what's on there. I really should get around to finishing them off. I've got so many to do though. Maybe in the inevitable rain breaks at Wimbledon tomorrow.
  19. Of course, if you'd just hit 'back' on your browser the post would have reappeared. That's a good point. This forum doesn't know the difference between rumour and truth most of the time anyway. It was just a cheap shot at SB really. I thought it worked quite well. Erm...yeah. That may have been my idea. I'm glad you specified your 'nails' and didn't say "the tip looks clean". Depends if it's true. PM your address and I'll post your programme back to you. Can't speak for the belt though.
  20. You're too slow. You even had to edit that response.
  21. To Rabski - So has Matt. To Nevs - Although they are going for the same hair-do. I really am sorry Matt.
  22. The pink beads took pride of place on his left wrist. We were all rather concerned at the pace and accuracy with which he was able to twist them onto his wrist. Oh...and for the record the beads were provided by non-other than our very own Mr. Turner. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's possible that I saw you then mini.
  23. Knew I'd miss at least one person out if I tried to list the clubs represented. At least you made it to my 'members met' list without my being prompted. You can try, but I was perfectly well behaved all weekend. Good luck. That's nothing. I hear he did a runner after finding somewhere to stay the night on Saturday. All he left behind by way of payment was a soggy speedway GP programme and his belt. And speaking of Mr. Davis...have a look at this picture I took on Friday night. Sorry Matt I couldn't resist.
