If the above is true then how can a rider replace the notified guest on the day of an meeting when the new guest's meeting has been postponed?

Good to see the BSPL website giving details on the Premiership Pairs. In the write up it says that each team must have a Rising Star as their third rider and the RS must take at least one ride but then the list of who is riding for each team only gives the names of the top two riders and fails to say who the RS is! Now I know we all know who the RS is on each team but why leave their names out of the write up?

Sadly any business that uses large amounts of water (speedway track, football ground, steam railway) will be on a water meter and will pay for every gallon they use.

I have the same low opinion of Brandon Estates (Coventry stadium) and Galliard Homes (Wimbledon stadium) but would be banned from this site if I was to put that opinion in print. May the people who run both companies rot in hell is as far as I can go.

Just looked at the Diamonds website and the next meeting according to the website is on Sunday 8th May against Glasgow! The latest news story is about over 65's getting in free on 22nd May which is the meeting that has been cancelled according to the Facebook message but still appears on the BSPL website as the next Diamonds home meeting. Left hand and right hand don't appear to know what the other is doing! It is good to see the promotion are using social media but they need to make sure that all platforms have the same message so they don't land up sending out different messages on different platforms.

Peterborough v Belle Vue - 9th May
Chris116 replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The date of this meeting is 9th May and not as shown in the header. Now corrected, thanks. -
The problem is that the rules are always written in such a way that they can be interpreted in at least two, and sometimes more, different ways. If the BSPL wrote rules that were clear and concise then the sport would be a lot better off. The current situation with the rules makes the sport a bad joke to many people. The rule on team changes should have clearly stated what was considered the start of the season and then there would have been no arguments.

King's Lynn v Ipswich. League Cup 25/4/22
Chris116 replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
At a TV meeting during the last season at Rye House the promotion handed out pump action air horns. I got one and it proved to be as loud as one which needs a refill. I took it to the next meeting only to be told that I could not use it as they created a nuisance. I pointed out that the promotion had issued them and was told they were only allowed at TV meetings as they created a better atmosphere. I asked why they didn't want a better atmosphere at non-TV meetings and was told that I was being awkward! -

Leicester vs Glasgow 23/04 7pm
Chris116 replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Only possible way the referee can justify that decision is to say the race was stopped due to an unsatisfactory start and not due to anything that happened on the third bend. -
Ipswich v Peterborough LC
Chris116 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A person who never makes a mistake never does anything. By the way, the stock car and hot rod promotion are called Spedeworth! Don't ask me why as Les Eaton, the founder of Spedeworth could not explain the spelling when I asked him in the 1970's. -

Armadale Devils v Berwick Bullets
Chris116 replied to Al Stewart's topic in National League Speedway
A bit worrying that Devils still don't have a team declaration according to the BSPL latest information. But neither do Oxford or Mildenhall so it is probably just a case of the BSPL being rather slow. -
I have not had a problem with opening the referee score charts but I do find it odd that in the news section they add the preview and if the meeting is called off they simply remove the preview. To check if a meeting is off you have to check the results section or go to the home teams website. On the old website they always put a note up in the news area to say a meeting had been called off with the reasons which was much easier to find. Now if you find there is no preview you don't know if the meeting has been called off or they have forgotten to post the preview.

According to the Brummies website it was COVENTRY: Chris Harris, James Sarjeant, Lewi Kerr, Adam Roynon, Ben Barker, Luke Crang, Joe Thompson. -
I have just been looking at the Brummies website. They are advertising meals in the restaurant during meetings. Big snag is that if the meeting is cancelled after 2pm on the day of the meeting then you cannot transfer your booking to another date or get a refund. I went off the idea very quickly upon reading that!

They be good at plans! The five year ones never last more than eight months.
-
I agree the new site is snail paced on both my laptop and mobile phone.
-
I am sorry to hear that. All websites should work on laptops, tablets and supposedly smart phones. I only have a cheap phone but it takes better photos than my wife's phone which cost her more than three times what I spent on mine much to her annoyance. Looks like it is also better on the internet than stuff advertised by a half eaten fruit which makes me even happier with my cheap phone.

It has been working for the last two or three days on my phone.

The easiest way of encouraging British riders is to have a minimum number of British riders in each team. I would suggest three or possibly four would be a good idea. Then you make team building rules that make a non British rider have one point added to their average which will encourage teams to use more than the minimum number of British riders.

Centre green looks a lot better than the Rye House one at did in the last season the BMR muppets were in charge.
-
They didn't think it would have more than 100 viewers at a time so we have overloaded it!
