one of clubs replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I was hopeful of us getting a point before the changes, now i cannot see it happening. IMO 52 38. -
Not smarting at all. He won the meeting fair and square, he deserved it, and congratulations to him.

Belle Vue v Peterborough Panthers - Grand Final
one of clubs replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I have to say congratulations to Peterborough becoming champions, which is deserved and they have been the best team all season. However, i have to say that BV were the authors of their own downfall, and gifted the title to Peterborough through naiveity, which is very disappointing. The tie was decided at the NSS, when instead of defending a ten point lead which would maybe be one hand on the trophy, BV went out to win the race and not packing the minor places. Peterborough coped admirably with their injury to Ulrich and Hans, which most teams do not given the same circumstances. BTW to that Peterborough fan who asked me if i was going before the last race, no i wasn't. I was going to the track shop where i watched the last race, (and spent money) in order to get out of a nightmare car park before embarking on a three hour journey home, arriving at 1.30am and getting up at 5am for work. Did you do likewise on Monday night?, i suspect not. As i have said, congratulations to Peterborough on a fully deserved title. -
Premiership League Prediction 2021
one of clubs replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
At the beginning of the season i had a feeling that Wolves would lift the trophy this season, and that the "top four" would be pretty clear cut. I have not changed my mind, as i think Peterborough will simply run out of steam and given Wolves' poor track which gives a massive home advantage (and it is no matter what ppl say) the title will be in the west midlands come Autumn. -
Any chance of "in the interests of speedway" getting Bartos Zmarzlik in tonight?.

Thanks for the info B1 and Lewy. When you say it is a couple of miles B4 the bridge, does that mean when coming from Looe will i cross the bridge?. -
Plymouth Gladiators 2021

I am planning to attend the Leicester meeting on the 27th of this month and i would like some info. From what i can gather about the location of the stadium am i correct in assuming it is within sight of Tamar Bridge and close to the nearby tunnel and what i see as the strange roundabout thingy?. Which section bar the grandstand offers the best view, and what is the likelyhood of being able to pay on the night via cash or card, as the website says different. Any other tips and advice will also be appreciated. -
That was my mistake, i forgot it was rained off. The point is that he was declared as being in the team, as far as i can see.

No. We are asking is Jason fit or isn't he?. It's not rocket science. He rode friday so he is fit.End of story. No team wants to see a hollow victory.

Seems like Troy Batchelor has run out of Matt Fraud guarantees.

Should there be no catering facilities open, what is the admission policy regarding spectators bringing in their own refreshments?

Well looking forward to this one, i have not been to Sheffield in quite a while and it will be good to go to an away meeting at a decent track. I hope i am not tredding on anybody's toes here but there is a coach running dependent on numbers, so anyone wanting to book a seat search Belle Vue Speedway Supporters Club on FB or contact Ron Shaw at Eurorider.

Belle Vue v Sheffield, Monday May 17th 7:30pm
one of clubs replied to SUPERACE's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good meeting last night. MOTM was Tom Brennan, who's super defeat of Batch was vital in securing the win. Seems he was on a guarantee, much like he was at Poole a few seasons ago when guesting for BV. All in all a good nights entertainment for the cameras. -
No. We are nothing like Poole, never have been and never will be.

Great signings for the Gladiators. The fam and i are down in Looe on us jollies hopefully at end of July so we will try and get along for a meeting. -
Nearly all of the statement is correct.

Matt Fraud is one of the reasons British Speedway is in terminal decline, even before Covid. Whilst being brilliant for Poole, British Speedway has been decimated. Now he reaps what he has sewn.

Awful news RIP Alan Wilkinson, Aces captain and legend.

Belle Vue 1972 or Cradley 1983.???
one of clubs replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
In 1983 the season started promisingly for the then champions in going to Cradley in early 1983, and winning in the first leg of the Premiership curtain raiser thingy. We lost the second home leg but won the trophy on aggregate after a blanket finish heat, amongst others. It was not an omen of good things to come. For me personally Cradley's team were the best i ever saw purely because i do not remember the triple crown winning BV side of 70-72, as i was too young then. Cradley came to Hyde Road later in the 1983 season and hammered BV 29-49, they did not have a weak link anywhere in that super team. Every Heathen had an average of over seven, from a maximum of twelve, which is some going. My head as i have said says Cradley but my heart says BV.
