Oh dear oh dear I'm sorry but I can Top Trump you there I'm based in Hull and travel 60 mile round trip plus two bridge fees to watch home meeting at the Eddie Wright Raceway to watch the Scorpions now my first team the defunct Hull Vikings Ill take you back to 2004 Craven Shield winners beating Reading Racers in the final Premier league knockout cup winners beating Exeter Falcons in the final Premier league winners in a 15 team league table ,I remember now a team from Cumbria finished over 10 pts behind us in 2nd with a quality rider in Stoney in your ranks So what it would be like to be TREBLE WINNERS well I've been there with the Hull Vikngs sadly now defunct Im a speedway fan who worked out of town and last year took in meetings at Poole,Swindon and Rye House in the top league & Scunthorpe,Peterborough,Sheffield,Newcastle and Rye House in championship My dad took me to the Boulevard in the 70's and sadly in 2004 due to 4 residents complaining about air horns Speedway was lost .so there you are nearly 50 yrs watching this sport and Hull Vikings were the first to do the a TREBLE

I wish Workington fans would stop bleating the comets had there best season ever , so here is some options for you all to consider 1- The town of Workington didn’t support there speedway team in big enough numbers 2- The Comets promotion paid over the odds last season for success 3- The promotion should never have put a side together this season , for them to be let down very late , not nice as it’s cost one of there riders from returning to these shores to race ie Mason Compton

Spoke to a Rob Godfrey last night at the Sheffield match and Broc Nicol was the only rider willing to take the guest booking at Eastbourne due to the Fours on Sunday ,so before slating Scunthorpe I thank Broc for stepping in and this is why speedway will not be a league sport within ten years in Britain

The average you can set the team up goes up to 40 pts so 2.44 pts left over plus Josh Baileys 2.90 means 5.34 pts if the other riders average stay the same

In today's market clubs should be advertising line ups etc, a lot earlier in case you can get any floating supporters . pleased really with the call off as our team without Jake Allen is weaker

Think we should all wait for an official comment from Rob or the clubs website if it's true ? , will he be given a 28 day ban who knows also I love seeing Garrity on the track but he's contracted to ride in all Scunthorpes fixtures ,so I think there should be a statement released by the club to the supporters. If he does get released,I would make a double change as Josh Bailey isn't doing what he was brought in to do Tero Aarnio or Dan Bewley for Garrity Ben Wilson for Bailey if his average fits

Why mention Jordan Palin to Belle Vue ,his family previously had a connection with Hull Vikings until they closed . I believe they are based in Beverley and Scunthorpe is the most local track I think and I'm sure unlike Glasgows track which has limited use .Ive seen Jordan transform from been a young lad stumbling around the track before and after meetings to now been a very accomplished young man racing competitively after league racing and amateur track days.wayne Carter does a great job behind the scenes at the EWR and he's taken Jordan and a few more under his wing using his fine knowledge . So now to the original question why is it pretty strange he and his family have picked Scunthorpe over Belle Vue ,the answer is within the first paragraph ,also Mr Vatcher at the bspa should take some credit aswell .If he keeps focussed and injury free he will be a very good speedway rider so good luck on your journey Jordan and his family in the future

Remember all other fans commenting on the Scorpions pages last year for being unfair . Well I witnessed Danny all last season home and away ,I gave him the benefit of the doubt returning from injury etc .But when you see a rider de throttle to miss the first bend on so many occasions to be in a safe position is beyond me . If he wants to ride Speedway that's fine but the rest of the guys are racing and competing ,that's why when supporters pay good money they expect effort and commitment. Ive seen Speedway for 40 plus yrs and some of my favourite ride back at the old Hull Vikings were Peter Scully and Mike Hampson not the greatest riders but always give 100 % effort

So the team tipped for greatest this season are struggling. I don't know the. IN's and outs with regards team averages and changes and the dates when the averages change .But to be hotly tipped due to Drew Kemp steal of an average the Tigers are under performing
