  1. Thinking of coming to this from Hull when do you think the Brummies will make a decision?? as don’t they incur stadium costs if called off late , thanks in advance
  2. I thought the bspa when sanctioning a new rider for a teams 1 to 7 , the rider had to have clear dates for his new sides fixtures .This is clearly not the case as Sam Masters 2nd fixture he isn’t available and they bring in the hottest rider in the league at the minute in Rasmus Jenson to replace him and folk on this site slate Rob Godfrey for his involvement with and bias towards the Scorpions I think not
  3. Interesting about the fuel additive any more on this ???!
  4. Totally different meeting to what we get at the EWR it was a bit gate and go . At 9-3 up I thought it’s a Scorpions win but a top class effort from Glasgow and there fans were different class well done well deserved no complaints
  5. This is the beauty of having your own stadium ,were you can work on the track whenever.Unlike Sheffield were there promotion have limited access to there stadium . Hope the weather stays kind as this should be a cracking meeting .Glasgow have the strongest 2 riders in Cooky and Rasmus in this league by far just hope we can contain the rest of the Tigers for the points to keep the Scorpions on track for the play offs , hoping for good racing and all riders finish the meeting injury free
  6. Andreas Lyager would be a good option if dates fit and is bang on a 7 pt average
  7. What's Atkins average ,so him earlier in the season and looked decent .As it stands I don't think anyone can look back at how teams were set up and say hitch is right or wrong . Sheffield built there side with Drew Kemp one match away from doubling his average in the championship and was going to be there trump card but that hasn't happened . The heat format has to change and I believe young reserves should be protected and race against each other in 3 races of reserves
  8. Garrity has signed for Birmingham So I take it Ben Barker is staying
  9. Can someone tell me when Ben Barkers 28 day loan is up and would you keep hi my instead of Jason Garritty ??? i would keep Ben
  10. Well after a few days of thinking here is my thoughts on Redcar v Scunthorpe On my first visit to the Bears home I was impressed with the Facilties and the race track . On the team strengths for the night that was primarily the fault of the Redcar promoters and they came out and gave the version of the facts and admitted a short term loss with a long term gain with regards the Erik Riss signing . The racing was very good on a well prepared track and for Redcar MPT ,Wrighty and Greaves were outstanding with Jake Allen and Ben Barker the top men for the Scorpions. When Riss signed I was more shocked with the 2 pt rider Tom Woolley to accompany him surely there is better options out there for the Bears. It was always going to be a tough ask , for the Bears to give Scunny a scare but they did and ran out of riders in the end especially after the woeful effort at Newcastle the Sunday before As a speedway fan Redcar didn’t need to do a £2 reduction on admission so as a speedway fan I put the £2 reduction into the raffle Now for the the negatives The track announcer getting cheap shots in about his beloved Newcastle Diamond the week On the terraces there was a lot of banter between the fans which was good hearted until Redcar ran out of steam then it become threatening and abusive . I was visiting with approx 12 Scunny fans including my 80 yr old father who took me to Hull Vikings as a 5 yr old many years ago and got me interested in Speedway Its the first track I’ve visited we’re drinking is to excess As we left the terraces one yob shouted “HOPE YOU DIE ON THE WAY HOME IN A CAR CRASH “ This was the final straw as I will not put into the Coffers of the Redcar Promotion when there is idiots like that Yes I’m Scunny fan but its not win at all costs and go to watch good close racing with riders putting there lives at risk for our entertainment, usually in a good atmosphere . So unfortunately I won’t be visiting this track again and putting money into there promotion From One very disgruntled speedway fan
  11. Fancy say you was running fancy leaving riders unemployed so close to the season starting fancy winning at all cost fancy leaving one of your own Mason Compton unable to ride over here People in Glass houses shouldn't be commenting on what they don't know anything about. Fact
  12. We will have a new rider in place by Thursday I won't spoil the clubs thunder as I know who is is but he should go well on Friday at Redcar
  13. Surely Redcar knew Riss would miss this meeting but needed him in for the KO cup win at Glasgow
  14. No I'm a speedway fan and Scunny is now my closest track since Hull Vikings closed ,last year whilworking away I Took in meetings at Poole ,Ry house ,Swindon And Shefield without Scunny riding . If more people did this then Speedway might continue in the UK in the future
  15. To be fair Brough Park is a poor circuit to watch as a spectator,The Diamonds were far superior Jake was very poor ,Kingsley struggled . One referee decision was strange was when Jake Allen gated in heat 5 I think and Steve Worrill brought down his partner and the race was stopped for first bend bunching. Re run the diamonds got a 5-1
  16. Any news on Stefan , got withdrawn last night after a crash in his first heat for Swindon
  17. Our new 3 pt rider from tomorrow Simon Lambert made a mockery of that average while guesting for Sheffield tonight scoring 12 plus 2 bonus points from 6 rides v Somerset tonight at Owlerton. Wishing Simon and our other new recruit Ben Barker a successful season in Scorpions colours
  18. Before testing riders are asked have you taken any non prescription drugs and Hogarth replied No according to every source , not calling Howarth as to me he is innocent until guilty but if the new test comes back as positive he’s been a silly boy
  19. It was mooted about that Jedd list was to return , but in all honesty the lad even if he returned next year he would be on a 4 pt average , the lad Glasgow brought in only has a two point average due to British parents I think
  20. Lambert is my guess and he will stay at reserve all season due to Ayres increased average
  21. Thanks for that we won so much I'm getting ahead of myself
