I think they will be soon but I’m Poole have asked for all fixtures to start in July this year due to a certain riders birthday 😜
-
Agree 100% pal there a funny breed always wanting to be a big fish in a pond without development of the riders in the league below but also not prepared to be involved in the top league aswell
-
All this speculation about Young Cairns who is an outstanding prospect I agree , but as we all know speedway riders have crashes and injuries .I would hate for the lads sake he doesn’t but to try and build a side around a lads 16th birthday date could be a huge gamble if injuries hit the Poole side .Speedway is won on the track and I wish all riders in the 3 leagues have an injury free season

I’ve not stated about winning things I’ve asked about your racetrack and the racing on it . So a serious few questions . is the racing at Poole better than Glasgow = NO Redcar = No Oxford = No Scunthorpe = No Workington = No Berwick = debate able Edinburgh = Yes Plymouth =Yes Poole are very good on there own track and certain away tracks I admit but I could not watch speedway at Poole as Speedway is allegedly classed as an entertainment as well .so winning at the detriment of providing entertainment you keep watching it in Poole while I’ll visit tracks were there is good hard racing for 4 laps each race and not just the first 80 metres of the first lap

SGB Championship - 2025 Predictions
Tosh1218 replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I’d put the crack pipe down and re post in morning pal -
Will it still be Gate and Go at Wimborne Rd yet again in 2025 ,it’s the least entertaining track alongside Plymouth
-
Top four finish again guaranteed
-
What is your problem with Scunthorpe or more to the point the Promoter,Scunny are and will be top four again next season . Riders get paid on time every time unlike others
-
If your looking at getting a Scunny rider I reckon it will be Tofty ,Connor will be a scorpion
-
Steve Worrall will not be at Workington for a fact
-
Eddie Kennett is back for half a meeting
-
Lambo is part of the team I’m sure as he’s invested in new equipment for 2025
-
I think Tofty’s last six weeks of this season put paid to him coming back , he was poor when Scunny needed him to be on top form
-
Come on everyone knows the Promoters and ,Team managers already have 90 % of there sides completed before the end of this season . You don’t expect all the foreign riders not to have deals in place for 2025 before the end of this season ,I’ve personally known Scunthorpe’s septet since the last meeting of the season in September . On discussion at this meeting will predominately about fixtures, cup draw’s and trivial matters
-
After the way he finished the season that was guaranteed
-
One a week will be revealed until Christmas like last year I’m going 4 Brits and 3 Aussies
-
Can anyone enlighten me as to we’re young Cairns is based ?? my point wouldn’t he want to be at a local track due to exams , schooling etc
-
One is already taken
-
Connor Mountain is going no we’re different for 2025
-
The agm is a box ticking exercise , I can guarantee it as I’ve known the Scunthorpe septet for next year since September
-
Zaine will be somewhere else
-
Things have already been agreed but they need an excuse to go into the sun and have.a Piss up do the Promoters so this is when the pts limit and rule changes get done apparently

Boughen was brought in at no 1 as Kyle Howarth was a massive doubt to make the fixture as his partner is expecting a child . David Howe Scorpions team manager addressed this after the match in the club house He stated Tofty was defiantly out and Kyle was less then 50/50 to make the meeting so he asked riders to fill in ,certain riders were cup tied as they had ridden for other clubs in the play offs , riders wanted to much money and other riders turned down the booking so by having Ashton in the team they would always have a minimum of six riders and a R/R facility to take on Poole . Kyle did make the fixture and yes Ashton was a little out of his depth but was brave enough to take the booking and thank you for doing that . It didn’t matter what side we had our Poole were too strong for us and were class on the night .no hard feelings to any riders from Scunny as it was a tough gig and a meeting to far. What we do get at Scunny is top class racing and that’s why I go following Hull Vikings demise about 18 yrs ago .Support speedway or we won’t have Speedway in a few years Rant over well done Poole and let’s see what next season brings as I’ve got knowledge of the Scorpions side for next year and it’s a fact we will be a top 4 side again . Plus watching speedway in September when some clubs finished there season 6 weeks ago
