I remember he would come to workington sometimes on the train saw him pushing his bike from the station about 100 yrds to the track, seem to recall taffy owen coming off on the back straight and geoff catching his bike am sure geoff was on a brand new jawa that night !

Watched 3 meetings over the weekend tracks same shape and size and gate 1 had a bike length start, still would love to go to a meeting to sample the atmosphere when this is back to normal .
The straights look narrow on this , was the greyhound track their in the 70s? Who were the people walking the stadium ? Vandals can anyone get in, sad to see .
