The football fans are in the pub till last minute, on a cold night its not good standing around with no racing while tv watchers see the start of that last race for the 10th time.i know because have been to many sky nights time drags on!

No way at all , its speedway and rugby league for me although after what " town" have done to derwent park wont be watching them again. Eurosport will drag the meeting out so its better for me to watch at home but would have loved to have been their but long journey on a work day back to cumbria head is ruling the heart .

The 5 pm start was to do away with using rip off price hotels , stayed at the mecure hotel in city centre a few yrs ago asked how much would a room cost that night was quoted £80 so asked for price of grand prix night she looked and said"oh there is an event on that night" price was £ 240 stopped me going!

I went once on a £19 deal which got u the ferry, train on the pier bus ride to stadium admission and i think a prog and all returns, it cost more in a taxi back on mainland to the warners hotel than the rest of the night out .
