Mid Season League Predictions
ReadingRacer2017 replied to ReadingRacer2017's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I can name 5 sides better than Poole. Somerset, Belle Vue, Swindon, Wolverhampton, Kings Lynn. -
I apologise for my actions of late, it won't be happening again.

Can someone tell me when the new Swindon averages come into play. I've got the feeling Rosco would love to replace Jack with Berge asap.

Team News - Swindon - David Bellego has declared himself fit for Monday. Zach Wajtknecht is still out, Frenchman Dimitri Berge guests. Team News - Leicester - Scott Nicholls, Josh Auty, Stuart Robson & Connor Mountain all make their debuts. Prediction - Tough one to predict as Leicester have a solid 1-7 now, especially with Robson at reserve. I can’t see how Bellego is fully fit, plus Leicester will be fully motivated for this one. Robins 41-49 Lions Robins (2nd 23 pts) Last 5 Home (W W W W L) 1. Nick Morris 2. David Bellego 3. Adam Ellis 4. Tobiasz Musielak 5. Troy Batchelor 6. Dimitri Berge (GUEST) 7. Jack Smith Lions (6th 17 pts) Last 5 Away (L L L L L) 1. Hans Andersen 2. Charles Wright 3. Josh Auty 4. Ricky Wells 5. Scott Nicholls 6. Connor Mountain 7. Stuart Robson

RR Meeting Report - V Somerset Highlight - Meeting Ronnie Corey (the guy doesn’t age) Lowlight - More Speedway merchandise stands this evening, however I’m not paying £30 for a cap. Swindon Rider Report Morris - Beaten twice by Doyle, FX ended all hopes of a unlikely victory. 6/10 Ellis - Scores between 6 and 10 points most meetings, you can’t ask for much more from a rider 4th in team averages. 7/10 Musielak - Class act, beat Doyle with ease. 8/10 Batchelor - Suprisingly lost to Holder in heat 4, if only the rest showed his determination. 7/10 Perks - Dire. 0/10 Smith - Out of his depth. 1/10 Visitor MOM - Tero Aarnio Impressed me when guesting for Robins in 2017, did even better for Somerset this evening.
-
Only ten more meetings for Swindon now, all remaining sides have meetings in hand as well. Doesn’t look good
-
Confirmed - Bellego back Monday Confirmed - Dimitri Berge guests for Zach. Confirmed - Sticking with Jack Smith until end of season
-
Exactly what I thought, especially with no Doyle. This result is on his head, the team was badly put together from the beginning.
-
Time for changes NOW
-
So is it safe to presume the rider in question was Stuart Robson replacing Bellego. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/16364073.swindon-robins-frustrated-in-bid-to-change-line-up/

Bellego should never have been signed in the first place on his 7.37 starting average, his form at the end of the 2017 season was very poor. ❌ I still find it mindblowing that Swindon chose Nick Morris over Jason Doyle, a newly crowned World Champion. Morris has been a shadow of the rider he was in 2017. ❌ Tobiasz Musielak can be class on a speedway bike, he reminds me of a young Per Jonsson, his riding style and passing ability is worth the admission price alone. ✔️ Adam and Zach, 2 young Brit’s who are improving all the time. ✔️ Troy Batchelor has been a sensation, double figures home and away most weeks. Signing of the season contender. ✔️ Jack Smith is just not good enough at this level, slow out the gate & slow machinery. It’s not rocket science, you don’t win the league with a 2 pointer at reserve. ❌
