  1. It's a real bonus for we Redcar Bears fans to have such a dedicated guy as Boothers both here, and on the Bears forum. A well deserved pat on the back to you !!
  2. Expecting an entertaining meeting. An improving Berwick will provide a much closer encounter I think. Alongside that is the extra spectacle of Mr Worrall and the Bears fans blowing kisses at each other all night....well I think that's what they were doing last time SW was at the MPA.
  3. And here's me thinking Robbing Roy McGregor reserved his dodgy performances for Redcar, I have misjudged him, he's poor everywhere.
  4. No 4 point win for you tonight....oh no. No win either. C'est le vie.
  5. If Vatcher has an input he will probably book medical school for Jason and Charles at 4.30 pm at a hospital in Manchester, then penalise Redcar 3 points for failure to declare their team. impossible ??? Nope, we are talking Vatcher here. The guy is killing the sport single handed.
  6. Tough match, but an opportunity to improve a great away record even more. Garrity and Busch maybe returning ? Great to see them both back to fitness, Toby in particular, he has missed most of the season. UTB
  7. Couldn't make it to the meeting tonight, but pleased to see the Bears roaring again after a glitch against Peterborough. We don't crack the 60 point mark too often. Well done Bears.....onto the EOES and hope to gain some revenge .
  8. Pretty good appraisal of how things stand. As a Bears fan I would like a top four finish too. The Vatcher decision to award a 9 heat meeting becomes more relevant with each meeting that is ridden. The importance, and the consequences for Redcar should they miss out on a play-off place by say 1 point are no small matter.
  9. 3 4 point away wins...and counting !! You don't get results like that without a good team spirit. Ben has been brilliant for us all season. We have gone from the Lasse grumpfest, and away wins as rare as the proverbial rocking horse stuff, to a team always worth the entrance money, a great back-up team, and making the Bears a team to be proud of by Bears fans, and feared by their opponents. Would that have happened in the Havelock era ? Errr no way !!
  10. Excellent from the Bears again today, better than I forecast too. Well done to all the team. Serious contenders for a top four finish now I reckon.
  11. I reckon the reserves hold the key to this clash. Bears Coty and Danny scoring well at the moment. I'm going for Bears 48-42.
  12. Another intriguing meeting for the Bears. Scunny have improved a lot, and on a good for racing track, it promises to be a great event. If the Bears can maintain their recent great form, I reckon they can pinch this fixture and continue towards what can be a serious top four challenge. UTB
  13. As I suspected, the weather has been pretty awful here last few days. Glad it was called off in time to save a lot of wasted journeys being made.
  14. The weather forecast for the next couple of days is pretty awful. Both meetings with the Tigers at risk of postponement. The Bears have spare dates, but the Tigers already have delayed meetings to complete. Could be a problem fitting in.
  15. A tough one for the Bears I think. If Ben, Charles, Jonas, ride to their potential, and Coty, Ellis and Danny support we can get something out of this meeting.
  16. Robson isn't my favourite by any means, certainly at No 1, but, we have to go with what's available I suppose.
  17. There is something in what you say regarding JBA, but I would prefer R/R myself UTB
  18. Vatcher has made his decision over the Panthers protest. He has deducted Redcar 3 points and awarded Glasgow a 4 point away win. Ah well, that's Vatcher for you !!!
  19. Great four points for the Bears. Solid team performance. Maybe a top four place is not unrealistic. Tough on the Bandits, surely their injury hoodoo will end soon, I hope so. The Bears injury hoodoo just continues too. One lengthy absence after another this season.
  20. Speedway being the exciting sport it is, injuries are an occupational hazard the riders that entertain us week in, week out risk suffering. I always hope for a riders quick recovery irrespective of who he rides for.
  21. The Bandits have been a much improved team of late, and I think the Bears will have a much tougher job on their hands than a few weeks ago. I still reckon the Bears can come away with something. Will we feature another guest tonight, or will Jason be fit ? That will be another factor as to how we fare. UTB
  22. Making my debut here on the forum. Redcar Bears fan. Enjoyed the meeting tonight, some good racing,Heat 15 was a cracker !! I agree Jason Garrity would have made a difference. I really enjoy watching Ben Barker, such an exciting racer, worth the admission alone
