  1. Great to see the Bears pip Peterborough to 5th spot, and the top half of the table. Well deserved after all the ill fortune that been their lot for most of the season. Hoping to go one better in 2018, and a play-off spot. Go Bears !!
  2. It's incredible isn't it ? Forecast don't look good either. If the weather does intervene, not much of October left to run this one. Could be another Rye House situation, unable to complete fixtures.
  3. The meeting is a guaranteed damp squib. Not a Bears rider to be seen riding for the Bears. An appeal to include a Bears asset, was refused. Says it all for me.
  4. Roll up...Roll up, Newcastle Diamonds v some other speedway riders.....not particular who they are....I hope crowd control barriers are in place early at Rough Park. Honestly though, it's not fair on the Diamonds fans either. It's not fair on anyone. Punters pay to see proper speedway racing, (last Bears visit ? ) not a farce that this fixture will inevitably be. You pay to see a meeting v Redcar Bears...you ain't getting a meeting v Redcar Bears....none of them.
  5. Maybe George should end all this ridiculous is he, or isn't he, and just tell him he ain't. End of speculation.
  6. I don't think I will be bothering with this one. I like to see Bears riders, riding for the Bears. No disrespect to the guest riders, but they ain't Redcar Bears. My admission and petrol money will be spent elsewhere this time.
  7. Well, there you have it. The Redcar resurgence is powering ahead. Riders asking to stay, and others asking to be part of the Bears team in 2018, augers very well. Everything about the 2017 season, promotion, riders, entertaining racing, brought a 25% increase in crowd numbers. The Bears home crowd very much appreciated everything about the MPA set-up, and showed up in increasing numbers as the season went on. There is no reason why 2018 can't be our best season in many years. UTB !!
  8. What's great about this post is she supports the Bandits through thick and thin. As a Bears fan, I have supported them through the thin...wooden spoonists last two seasons, now I'm enjoying the resurgence with everything to do with the Bears in 2017. I'm glad to see the Bandits will be racing next year, we need them in the Championship, we are seeing the good times at Redcar again, I hope the Bandits will too.
  9. Hmmmm and here's me thinking passing wasn't an exclusion event. Wiping an opponent out is as far as I can recall. So, if the ref excluded Kyle.....work it out for yourself.
  10. Stand by for another phone call 5 minutes before the meeting starts. That's what happened 2 weeks ago. Jeeze !!!!
  11. Enjoyed the meeting, one thing is for sure Ben is as entertaining off the bike, as he is on it. Thanks for a great season lads !!
  12. What an entertaining end to an entertaining season supporting the Bears. The whole place is vibrant in complete contrast to the last couple of seasons. Crowds up, a team well worth watching, a promotion that deserves every plaudits they get. I hope we can keep most of our team here again next year. I will be back, for sure. UTB !!!
  13. I was very impressed with Nathan when he guested for the Bears at Newcastle recently. 100% effort, despite being felled on the last bend in one heat. Earned his corn.
  14. Good end of season event. Well worth going to see this one.
  15. So where is the incentive for Redcar supporters to consider travelling to see their team ? The expense in transport, entry to the meeting, refreshments etc whilst being told their team, even if their team wins points (just imagine they needed a point to grab 4th spot, unlikely yes, but possible), that the team finishing 5th, qualifies above their team that finished 4th according to league points totals is absolutely pointless. Just like a lot of things in speedway these days. Pointless, shambolic, and as usual, the fans are the last consideration.
  16. Well done the Bears !! Terrific effort to lower the Tigers colours tonight.
  17. Ben was pure class tonight. His form recently has been scintillating. Bears promotion must make every effort to keep him at the MPA next year. He was ably supported by all the Bears team . Well done to them all. Surprised with Kings showing, expected a lot more from him. Foxhall tomorrow a big test for the Bears. A point, ( although not really enough for Bears to grab 4th spot) would be a good showing at a difficult venue.
  18. It won't bother Ippo it's true. Redcar and Edinburgh fans certainly have an interest in how this fixture pans out.
  19. Well, there you go. I didn't know that. Every day we learn. Thanks for the info.
  20. Trying to make the Newcastle meeting 3rd of September. Awful track, it maddens me that the MPA is made to be such a fair track to both sides, most will, I think, agree that along with Scunny's' EWR they are the best tracks in the league. Why can't others make it so ? Over to you Mr English.
  21. Great win for the Bears. Pushed all the way by a determined Monarchs team. Very close racing throughout, after what looked after 3 heats to be a cakewalk for the Bears...not a bit of it. A great advert for Championship speedway. Glad to see Ricky and Ty walk away from nasty falls, Josh too. The air fences did their job tonight.
  22. I reckon Bears will get a result and 3 points here. Monarchs not great away from home, last visit they were a two man show. I expect a similar result to their last visit to MPA.
  23. A makeshift team versus the millionaires....can only see one result I'm afraid.
