Great to see speedway finally here again,( weather permitting of course). Just a shame the weather has prevented the riders from getting some practice in. I too will be eager to see Jordan in action for the Bears, will have to wait for the Julie Lewis meet at the Bears lair to see him. Ben Barker, as ever, will be box office . Worth the admission alone. UTB

electric speedway bike . WHEN?
parkendlass replied to jenga's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
On most Friday's yes, or occasionally with a famous Boro Parmo ....to be shared I hasten to add, far too many calories for one to take on !! Plus, I have an emergency supply of salt and vinegar in case the aroma from the chips proves irresistible ... -

Well I've got a basket on the front of my bike.... -
We Bears fans are waiting for the new season with bated breath !!

Thank you kind sir.

Steve, I have, as I said, been a fan of Nathan, and hoped he would ride for Redcar this year. I'm astonished he has not been snapped up by a Championship team. I'm not a Twitter user, so I'm not party to a lot of information others can access. My point is that to date he will ride only for Wolves in 2018. That was my last information The Championship is a poorer spectacle without him.
-
I'm a big Nathan Greaves fan, his attitude is 1st class. I was hoping to see him in a Redcar Bears race jacket this year, but I understand he is not riding in the Championship this year, and concentrating on Wolves.

Ellis Perks started last season in excellent form for the Bears, dropped off somewhat, but I reckon he would be a good acquisition for Newcastle. His biggest issue I think would be getting used to what surface they are asked to ride on.
-
Pleased to see Jordan and Toby in the 2018 line up. The ball is firmly in Matej's court. He can either be a hero or a villain, and he hasn't got much time to become the hero. If he gets off to a poor start, it's going to be a long difficult time for him. Over to you Matej.

I have been hoping that Nathan would be a Bears rider since the end of last season. Even if he wasn't with the Bears, I was still hoping to see him ride at the MPA at least once next season. If he is only riding Wolves, I'm not going to get to see him at all. I ain't got BT sport. -

How is it a stupid statement ?. Getting things organised applies to everything we do. Someone chucking a spanner in what is an organised thing causes trouble, but not to the spanner thrower. I haven't mentioned Newcastle. It matters not what team it is, it is nothing to do with Newcastle. My team Redcar have still got half the team to announce, but they are going about their business quietly. -

Spot on Workyboy. There is absolutely no way teams that have done their work, and got themselves organised, should face upheaval because of other teams who dawdle and dawdle and then expect to have things all their own way. Not on !! -
Well I for one will be at the MPA whatever kind of season we have. The wooden spoon years, the exciting last season, I'm a Bears fan, they are my team. Thick or thin seasons, I love watching them, obviously, I want a decent season, who wouldn't . I'm not as au fait with averages rules I'm afraid as established members are. I'm learning a lot on here.
-
With an average of 8.81 and 9.23 to fill, it certainly looks like a new No 1 is heading to the MPA in 2018. Looking forward to cheering the Bears on again in 2018.

Always wanted Nathan Greaves riding for the Bears. Hope he does in 2018

Personally I quite like unveiling of riders in Bears colours at the Christmas party. I think it adds to the occasion. Who doesn't like surprises at Christmas ? UTB
-
I would be very happy with Nathan Greaves in Bears colours.
-
Very happy to see Ben back as a Bear next year . I stated on the forum how important it was that Ben was back in 2018. Some seemed to think he would go elsewhere, glad he proved them wrong. UTB .
-
I'm thinking Barker too, Wright Garrity Andersen in main body, it's been posted Busch won't ride in UK next year, is it just a rumour ?. I know it's not possible, but I would love to see Nathan Greaves in a Bears race jacket at reserve. I can dream though.

Looks pretty good to me. Ben, with the captaincy too is an absolute must.

Ben has put all his problems away. It has happened because he has found his niche. Redcar Bears . The promotion and, of course the fans, have done everything to help him achieve his best season for years. I reckon he appreciates that, and it showed in his racing...superb. Redcar will be his team in 2018.
