Glasgow v Redcar KO Cup 5/7/19@19.30
parkendlass replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great result for the Bears, an excellent battling performance by all the team, and Nathan did indeed prove to be the Bears trump card. After years without any success in the cup competitions, maybe it's the Bears turn for glory ? Certainly, they need not fear any of the teams left in. UTB !!! -
Glasgow v Redcar KO Cup 5/7/19@19.30

A real cup-tie in every sense. Mouth watering for the fans. You can more or less guarantee Cook gets a maximum . As you say Paul Nathan Greaves likes the Gladgow track, he may well be the difference between the sides. He has been riding better and better recently. Its too close to call this one. But, as a Bears fan, I hope we progress. UTB !! -

A close win for the Bears in the home leg. But not enough to defend in the away leg. -

Absolute b***** disgrace. Bears 6 points adrift, and worth a point all day long. But no, wait until the moment they go 8 adrift, then curfew the meeting, and declare a result. The fans are being shortchanged . They spend their money travelling, entry into meetings, then a 100 mile drive home, sick to their stomachs at having a well earned point snatched away. Why not curtail after the previous heat ? The Lions had won the meeting, they could get no more points, so job done. But no. Speedway is being killed when decisions such as these are made. I leave you sick, fed up, and thoroughly disillusioned. -

A very big task for the Bears tonight. If we get somewhere near to getting a point, it will be a good performance against a very strong Lions team. -
Redcar v Leicester Friday 28th

I went into this meeting thinking " The Bears are going to have everyone firing to win this one against a very strong Lions team. Now, I'm telling myself, " Oh Ye Of Little Faith ". Cracking result for the Bears. How good too, the meeting had to be delayed due to huge queues wanting to get on. How often have you head that said ? UTB !!! -

Great to see such generosity by the crowd for Sam. Not so great a result for the Bears. To be honest, I'm really struggling to understand quite how it can be that teams don't know when the interval will be at a meeting. Is it not part of the referees duties to ensure BOTH teams know after which heat, the interval will be held ??? Ironic we can communicate instantly to far corners of the globe, and yet not communicate from a referees box to yards away ? Anything to make the team managers job harder I suppose. Sheesh !! -

A point would be very acceptable for the Bears tonight. A tough ask I know, but it's not out of the question. UTB !! -

This promises to be a very interesting nights racing.....if this awful weather doesn't scupper it. At last the Bears can get their league programme started, I'm hoping the lack of meetings....none for 3 weeks now doesn't become a factor. Charles at No 1, Ulrich debuting at No 5 , he likes the MPA does Ulrich, I reckon he will go well. Jack and Nathan to play a big part in a 50-40 Bears win. UTB !! -

Great result for the Bears. Neck and neck all meeting, Rebels nicked it by two points at the death. Charles his usual classy self, great to see Ben back to his best, good support from all the team. Well done Bears UTB !! -
Second leg of KO cup. Bears holding. 17 point lead from the first leg. Will it be enough for the Bears to progress ?. I reckon it will. Reserves hold the key . Charles will be ...Charles, reliable, and a terrific rider to boot. Lets hope MPT keeps his form and Bens machinery holds good. UTB !!

Thoroughly enjoyable meeting with the Bears putting in a strong team performance. Always good to see Bomber racing Its a very good lead for the Bears to defend. The second leg will be well worth watching. -
Sheffield strong at home this year. A tough ask for the Bears, but a far from impossible task. All things considered, I'm going for a narrow loss for the Bears, but by less than ten points UTB !!

Well done to the Bears, I couldn't be at the MPA tonight but it was a great nights racing by all accounts. Bears look to be very strong at home. If last seasons occasional poor home performance can be put to bed this year, we can seriously challenge for the play offs. UTB ! -

Bears by 12 points tonight. But Brough is a real test of visiting sides. I'm counting on 12 points being a big enough lead. Prove me right guys. UTB !! -
After a long, long winter break, our annual speedway fix is just days away. i wish all riders, from all the Championship teams, a safe seasons riding. There will be some great meetings this season, ( as there always is), we supporters appreciate what risks you take to entertain us. Oh, and one further wish, Redcar Bears to do," a Workington 2018", and do the treble. COME ON !!!!
-
That is a very attractive season opener . Well done Ben bringing this together. Great to see the Comets there for them to be able to show off their undoubted talent. Really need them back up and running in 2020. My diary has this date pencilled in.
-
Wow !! What a good team. Really looking forward to tapes up at the STMP in 2019, a team to challenge for honours I reckon. Well done Jitendra
-
That is a team I would definitely pay to see ride the STMP. Barker, Wright, Palm-Toft, and a talented and youthful support would bode very well. Bring it on !!
-
If that is to be the Bears 2019 , then I will be well happy, a side that would challenge for honours I reckon.
