  1. Major, major blow for the Bears. Irreplaceable in my opinion.
  2. Another great result for the Bears, 3 more points towards the play-offs. Congratulations to Tom Woolley gaining race points, to great applause from the home fans. The Rebels pushed all the way. The only minus points tonight, Charles having to withdraw in Heat 13, and Jordan strangely out of sorts, well down on his usual 8-9 point home meeting returns. Still, another win, now on to Eastbourne in the KOC UTB !!
  3. Well done all at Berwick in their sterling efforts to ensure speedway continues up there. Speedway needs all the plus points it can get, this is certainly a great example of what can be done if you are pro-active. And speedway needs Berwick, and hopefully Worky back riding very soon .
  4. Bears to keep roaring away in this one for me. Lean and hungry this year. UTB !!
  5. By all accounts a very good meeting with two competitive teams giving everything. The Bears won't be too disappointed with the result. If they can , and I reckon they will, having ridden Eastbourne now, will use that knowledge when they visit again in the KOC. But even a repeat score, a deficit of 10 points, should not be too much of a hurdle in the return at the MPA. My only worry is Bears are a 6 man team till the end of the season. UTB !!
  6. Interesting clash this one. If the Bears top three fire, as they early always do, then a Bears win is far from out of the question. But, I would be more than happy with a point from this one.
  7. The Bandits well worth their point. Wright is riding superbly, as said elsewhere, possibly the best rider seen in a Bears race jacket. Play-offs just about nailed on for the Bears.
  8. Bears roaring all the way to the play-offs. Bandits to be mauled. Bears 50+ on this one.
  9. Another strong team performance from the Bears. A play-off place looking very likely now. Sheffield the only team anything like in contention in league positions below the Bears. Could this actually be the Bears year after so many barren seasons. I'm starting to dream it could well be. UTB !!
  10. Taking into account the Bears current form, I will be majorly disappointed if we don't get something tomorrow, weather permitting. UTB !!
  11. As above, the Bears are really turning on the gas , a very strong team at the MPA, and non too shabby away either. Certainly, the best Bears team for some years. UTB !!
  12. The Redcar Bears steamroller powers on. Excellent Maximum from Palm-Toft, now showing his best on his home track. Great debut from Erik, Charles....well, just Charles... top man. Well done Kasper, and the rest of the team supported. Hope Jordan not too hurt. UTB !!!
  13. Those " pesky Bears", shattered Berwicks year long unbeaten home record. UTB !! Sorry to disappoint you.
  14. I posted earlier that of The Bandits long unbeaten run was going to end, the Bears were just the team to do it. So it has proved to be, another great team performance from the Bears, especially as they are a 6 man team in all honesty. The play-offs must be a real possibility for the Bears. Well done, all of you. Its a good time to be a Bears fan.
  15. Great team effort from the Bears, and a thoroughly deserved point gained. Onwards to the Bandits tomorrow night.
  16. Bears second away meeting on two days. Riding well, confidence high. Bandits unbeaten at home for a year , well, its got to end sometime, and as a Bears fan, Saturday would be the perfect time to do it. Tough ask though, realistically, anything from this meeting would be great. UTB !!
  17. I too, would be very happy to get a point out of tonight's meeting. A tough ask, but we are riding well, and are on a bit of a roll these days. No score prediction from me, but a point...very happy. UTB !!
  18. It's always heartwarming to see the young ' uns dancing with Smoggy to the strains of The Music Man. They look like they are having such a great time. The MPA, and the current promotion team, the team itself, the atmosphere, and the whole experience of going to see the Bears ride is light years away from the visiting experience not so very long ago. Yes, I'm a Bears fan, but the efforts everyone is putting in at the MPA, deserves some long overdue reward. UTB !!!
  19. Steady, professional job by the Bears. Birmingham much better than I expected, which I was glad of, some very good racing last night. There is no reason why the Bears can't make the top 4 , and win the KO Cup too. After so many lean years, what a treat that would be. UTB !!
  20. Damn and blast CW injured and not riding in this one. Knowing Redcars luck, the only replacement they will allow for Charles will be a district nurse on a pushbike with a basket on the front.
  21. The Bears at full strength are a tough proposition. The last two away performances have been excellent. No reason to think they won't be this time too. Im going for a 42-48 UTB !!
  22. It's not just Jake who goes around Redcar well. I don't think there is a rider in the league who doesn't think Redcar is the fairest, and best track in the league.
  23. The Bears so nearly pulled off a result tonight. But, as expected, losing your No 1 and a top points scorer on the same night was just too much. Realistically, leaving the Bears some 20 points off what having Stewart and Riss would have, in most home meetings, scored. Not many sides can go into a meeting with that scenario and win. Congrats to the Scorpions, they did what they had to do....just. UTB !!
  24. The views of a real sporting speedway fan. As most proper speedway fans are. Two teams ride, not just one. Believe me, following the Bears has seen a lot more lean times than most, but they are my team, through good and bad, it's nice to have a bit of the good times. UTB !!
