SCB Explanation? Lack of consistency
parkendlass replied to Fortythirtyeight's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'm really looking forward to the day Redcar get a ruling in their favour. I fear that day wont ever come with the clowns that govern speedway. -
Redcar v Glasgow 13th June
parkendlass replied to Yearbyred's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wow !!! If you like classic speedway, then this treat served up this afternoon by two excellent teams was all you could ever have asked for. Nip and tuck all the way culminating in a marvellous climax in heat 15 Bears pinching it at the death. Charles and Jake putting in superb performances, backed up by Tofty getting somewhere near his best. The top two teams in the league were on show this afternoon. And they came up trumps. Privilege to watch them today. -
Edinburgh v Redcar 28th May
parkendlass replied to Al Stewart's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Really looking forward to a great season following the Bears. I'm hoping they go one better this year than narrowly missing out on the league title last time out. Anders Rowe is a terrific signing, and with Jake joining up too, they will further strengthen an already powerful set up. Looking for at least a point at Armadale. UTB !!! -
Stop press !! The ties have been re-drawn. Poole are now away to Aston Villa in the 1st leg....according to the BSPA anyway.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2020
parkendlass replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Deepest sympathy to all Danny's family and friends. A huge loss to speedway. He always gave his best for all the clubs he rode for, and is fondly remembered as a Redcar Bear. Rest in peace Danny . -
My solution is for all the other teams fight it out for the honour of meeting Redcar Bears in the final. im a Bears fan, naturally !

Redcar near wooden spoonists ? And here's me thinking Redcar had a great season last year, and will be one of the strongest again in 2020. I nearly choked on my turkey when I read someone reckons Redcar will be turkeys in 2020. Nah !! Not a chance.

Oh I do say so Twice !!

If Nathan can't be with us next year, I wish him well, scored a lot of important points for the Bears last season. Charles back from Oz ? Great. Two new reserves, Parmo back, good news, We saw the real MPT once he settled, we can enjoy that again. A really good top 5 .

Yes, looks good to me. Would we not be able to keep Nathan ? I know it's down to his averages, but I don't know what his is, or if including him would exceed our points limit.

Memories of Cleveland Park speedway
parkendlass replied to Coraldon's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Always enjoyed Thursday nights at Cleveland Park. Martin Dixon, Mark Fiora, Gary Havelock, Steve Wilcock, Mark Courtney, Jim Burdfield( now there's a name from the dark and distant ), Tom Leadbitter, Geoff Pusey to name but a few , and Frankie Aufrett of course . Worth a visit I reckon, if I can't go, I'll send my right hand man. -

Good Year / Bad Year
parkendlass replied to justathought's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's been a tremendous season for the Redcar Bears. The first of many to come I hope. No longer the wooden spoon candidates each year, but a team worthy of their high league ranking. KO Cup...winners. British Champion...Charles Wright. And, we ran Leicester very close in the play-offs, could easily have won that one. Then, who knows in the final against Glasgow, we dumped them out of the KO Cup. Hypothetical yes, but it's how close we came. Well done everyone connected to the Redcar Bears. A great season . UTB !!! -
Well done Bears, coming home with the silverware. A fully deserved reward for the best season for years. A close run thing in the end, credit to the Diamonds, but, oh, that referee. Quite simply the most abject excuse for an official I, and, I suspect many others, saw tonight. Absolutely awful decision making, which even the Diamonds fans were questioning. Willie, find another job...that doesn't involve any thinking.

Redcar v Leicester Semi final
parkendlass replied to johnyson66's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We Redcar fans like to see both teams battling and putting on what was, a very competitive, and extremely close semi-final. It could so easily have gone to Redcar, but we could not have asked for any more from the Bears. Congratulations Leicester. Can't help feeling we having a 6 man team was a factor. UTB !! Bring that cup home tomorrow !! -

Bears all the way for me. Should take a very healthy lead back to Brough, too many to be pulled back. UTB !! -

Couldn't be called Middlesborough, as there is no such place as Middlesborough. There is a Middlesbrough though. Hope that explains why Lester fans asked the question. -
Redcar v Leicester Semi final

Eight point lead for the Bears, it's going to be a real task to get a result in the return, but not beyond the Bears by any means. UTB !! -

Redcar v eastbourne koc semi finals 6/7 sept
parkendlass replied to ruckerroo's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Brilliant from the Bears. Thoroughly deserved to reach the final. Never off the pace tonight. After years in the wilderness, this, surely, is Redcars year. A North East final. Only one winner here, and it ain't the Diamonds UTB !!!
