Wow !!! If you like classic speedway, then this treat served up this afternoon by two excellent teams was all you could ever have asked for.
Nip and tuck all the way culminating in a marvellous climax in heat 15 Bears pinching it at the death.
Charles and Jake putting in superb performances, backed up by Tofty getting somewhere near his best.
The top two teams in the league were on show this afternoon. And they came up trumps. Privilege to watch them today.
Really looking forward to a great season following the Bears. I'm hoping they go one better this year than narrowly missing out on the league title last time out.
Anders Rowe is a terrific signing, and with Jake joining up too, they will further strengthen an already powerful set up.
Looking for at least a point at Armadale. UTB !!!
Deepest sympathy to all Danny's family and friends.
A huge loss to speedway. He always gave his best for all the clubs he rode for, and is fondly remembered as a Redcar Bear.
Rest in peace Danny .
Redcar near wooden spoonists ? And here's me thinking Redcar had a great season last year, and will be one of the strongest again in 2020. I nearly choked on my turkey when I read someone reckons Redcar will be turkeys in 2020. Nah !! Not a chance.
If Nathan can't be with us next year, I wish him well, scored a lot of important points for the Bears last season.
Charles back from Oz ? Great. Two new reserves, Parmo back, good news, We saw the real MPT once he settled, we can enjoy that again.
A really good top 5 .
Yes, looks good to me. Would we not be able to keep Nathan ? I know it's down to his averages, but I don't know what his is, or if including him would exceed our points limit.
Always enjoyed Thursday nights at Cleveland Park. Martin Dixon, Mark Fiora, Gary Havelock, Steve Wilcock, Mark Courtney, Jim Burdfield( now there's a name from the dark and distant ), Tom Leadbitter, Geoff Pusey to name but a few , and Frankie Aufrett of course .
Worth a visit I reckon, if I can't go, I'll send my right hand man.
It's been a tremendous season for the Redcar Bears. The first of many to come I hope. No longer the wooden spoon candidates each year, but a team worthy of their high league ranking.
KO Cup...winners.
British Champion...Charles Wright.
And, we ran Leicester very close in the play-offs, could easily have won that one. Then, who knows in the final against Glasgow, we dumped them out of the KO Cup. Hypothetical yes, but it's how close we came.
Well done everyone connected to the Redcar Bears. A great season . UTB !!!
