  1. It would appear a big-name rider who had indicated he would come to Oxford had a change of mind. We don't know who or why. If Oxford deserve any credit, it's for maintaining a 'dignified' silence over the identity of said rider.
  2. For several weeks now, Oxford have made no public comment whatsoever on this subject.
  3. I'm not a Leicester fan, but I just wanted to say a big well done to you guys for running 2 teams at ND level. Such a refreshing attitude...as compared to that of an ar**hole club like Poole.
  4. Unbelievable. It's like trying to argue a point with a lump of wood. Do you really not understand the issue? Poole do not want to contribute to the cost of NDL racing, but want to be able to pick riders out of the NDL whenever it suits them. It's blatant hypocrisy.
  5. Which possibly sums up the kind of support the Poole Parasites have. Fans of other clubs clearly enjoy having the opportunity to see less experienced riders improving their skills in the NDL. Poole, however, appears to have a glory-hunting, bandwagon-jumping fanbase.
  6. Thanks for another typically Poole answer.
  7. Well said Lewy. They can't be arsed to run a team at NDL level, but want the NDL to exist for their convenience, run by other clubs. Poole Parasites
  8. Is it not likely that Mitch McDiarmid will be in the Chargers team? Surely he wouldn't come over just to do one league?
  9. Sorry, Mrs J - a basic sexist error on my part there. I recall having a conversation with a female Peterborough fan as we walked back to the car park after a meeting at Oxford last summer. I guess that could have been you! Hope to see you next season (not that I'm trying to turn the BSF into a dating website, but who knows...) 😄
  10. I agree, Mr J. I'm trying hard not to criticise the promotion here! But the reality is that any individual who decides on the day to attend a Premiership meeting at Oxford - and then parks at Unipart, even with no intention of using the coach - is now paying £27.
  11. Things not going too well for Oxford, it seems. Unable to fill their teams but able to announce that admission prices are going up next season (only by £1). And they intend to charge £2 to park in a car park they don't own and which is a 10 minute walk from the track? I know, be grateful that speedway is back at Oxford...
  12. I like the current format. I don't have a problem with H15 being a re-run of H13. But I do hate it when there is a "super-heat" and the same riders can be chosen as H15. Wouldn't it give team managers something to think about if your H15 choices couldn't be used in a subsequent super-heat? Wouldn't it be great - for the riders, and the fans - if 2 of their weaker riders were given the chance to get the glory?
  13. Personally, I would prefer 2H 2A in the Championship - without the BSN Series, and without the play-offs/grand final. Can't we just have a straightforward league competition (and the KO Cup)?
  14. Exactly, Gambo, well said. As a speedway fan I would be embarrassed to come out with the statement "have no interest in NDL racing and know of many who feel the same". Sit at home and watch the Grand Prix then, and pride yourself on your knowledge of Zmarzlik etc.
  15. Here's a ground-breaking, revolutionary thought. How about one or two of the Championship clubs who want more fixtures running an NDL team?
  16. Do Poole have any plans to improve their track for 2025?
  17. Thanks for exactly the kind of response I was expecting.
  18. How about Poole running an NDL team in 2025? Or will they continue their policy of plucking young riders from the NDL whenever it suits them, despite making no contribution to the league themselves, effectively sponging off the efforts of others?
  19. Actually I agree with your answer, SJA. But can you see the point I was making? Certain clubs make no contribution to the NDL, but they want the league and the riders to be there and available to them, when it suits them.
  20. Some Premiership and Championship clubs could run an NDL team but choose not to, for whatever reason. We were close to not having an NDL in 2024 because of a shortage of teams. So here's a question: When one of these clubs finds themselves in need of a young rider to step in at reserve at short notice, should they be allowed to use someone from the NDL, even though they presumably couldn't care if the NDL didn't exist?
  21. Fair enough, Arnie & Mr Lion. For what it's worth, Leicester deserve great credit for being one of the dwindling number of clubs who are committed to NDL racing. As we all know, there are quite a few clubs who see themselves as 'big' who can't be bothered to do so.
  22. Well done, Leicester. I was at Oxford yesterday and actually felt a bit sorry for the Leicester lads - they got a great reception from the Oxford fans as they did their victory lap after heat 15, but I got the impression they were looking for their own supporters. Really poor turn out from Leicester. Can't be arsed to drive from Leicester to Oxford on a pleasant Sunday afternoon to see your boys win a league title?
  23. 2 riders come together. They both go down. Both at fault, neither at fault? I keep imagining a parallel universe where the referee can exclude both fallers.
  24. My apologies for duplicating your post, Bojangles! (2 mins apart)
