  1. I was not there so I cannot comment on the crash but my best wishes to Lasse for a speedy recovery. Any news on Jan?
  2. Well done to both teams, sounds like an entertaining meeting and a fair result. Huge well done to Cookie on a well deserved maximum and track record. I really wish I'd been able to go....... Hope Gino is OK
  3. I'm definitely in the "kill the joker" corner. I would compromise allowing it if 10 points behind but definitely not 6
  4. More importantly, best wishes to the folks injured on the M6. Sounds nasty and seems like the dreaded M6 claimed a few others too yesterday with 1 fatality in another crash earlier in the day
  5. Congratulations to Redcar on the win. Our tail exposed but it was a nice warm night Great celebrations from the Bears fans and all very friendly
  6. Race times tell a different story from the wee Lasse too ..... Ht 1 - 56, ht 11 - 56.2, ht 15 - 57.1
  7. Definitely seemed like a good collection for Kozza, terrible injuries, made worse by being so far from home, best wishes for a speedy recovery lad
  8. Loved it...... Soooooo good to see Wayne "ROCKY" Carter back on track...... Way to go m8..... Hope you got your good nights sleep!!!
  9. Superb speedway yesterday from the riders of both teams on a lovely day. I always enjoy a trip to meet the lovely folks at Scunny at a great stadium. The track staff produced a track that supported loads of passing especially high and wide which is gr8 to watch. A Monarchs win was just the job but the return of Wayne "ROCKY" Carter was the icing on the cake...... Well done m8. Also nice to meet up and chat with Gary Stead Alex Davies gets the most exciting (but scary) rider award from me and I've no idea how he and Theo stayed on their bikes in their ht 15 "wall of death" act. Poor Carrie Pijper almost went into labour!!! I'm so glad Cookie held back from the burst round the outside or it would've been messy
  10. I'm really looking forward to Monday. Lunch in the pub. The main meeting, another meeting to cheer on Max and the return of our great friend Wayne Carter..... Just hope Sunny Scunny lives up to its name!
  11. In all fairness, there was a brief announcement when the Music was switched off to say why it had been switched off It is sad to see the crowds continually dwindling tho' when you think back to when they re-opened...... Me too, Such a simple tumble Take care lad and get well soon
  12. Brilliant night Cookie, well done lad. A good win for Belle Vue but disappointed with Kings Lynn Robert Lambert..... Great to watch and talks well too for a young-un..... Wet track...... What wet track?
  13. Best wishes to Rusty and get well soon lad..... one of the good guys!!! Congratulations to Worky on a well deserved win but where have all the supporters gone?
  14. Well done to all concerned, very emotional
  15. Ok, I'll play your game, I never defended anyone's gestures and I'm not one of those who made them. I merely pointed out that we would never applaud Nick Morris. I'm not on the defensive as I personally, have nothing to defend..... Sorry to disappoint. I don't condone the gestures but they were well earned by Mr Morris
  16. https://www.flickr.com/photos/glasgowtigersspeedway/16581690344/ Zoom in and check out the warm hand gestures from the fans beside the red pillar. I think you'll find that we applauded all your other riders, especially Aaron but Nick Morris will never merit applause from us
  17. Fair point, and no complaints with the exclusion, rules are rules..... But, how is he supposed to relay the information to the pits? If he got off the bike and ran up and down the hill in full gear he'd be out of time anyway. For those who haven't sampled the excellent facilities at Ashfield but are old, like me, it is like the old Bradford pits..... Cracking idea but the mechanics have to be fit (and remember to put the fuel cap on). These things happen but "lessons have been learned"
  18. Every rider will try to anticipate the gate, it's their job! Frede Schott used to say, "if you don't break the tapes now and again, you're not trying hard enough"
  19. Gees, you can't half exaggerate!!!! Anyway, congratulations to the 2015 Tiggers on todays well deserved win. Some good racing, especially Aaron's tremendous effort to pass Kevin (shame about his bike) No complaints about the track, the dust or Justin having a rare off-day but get yer start gate fixed...... Now..... One thing I am going to say about Cookie and all the griping he gets on here..... Apart from something I couldn't print for fear of my Ma finding out!!!!!! There isn't one team that wouldn't like to have him ........ If you're honest!!!! BUT ..... Tough because we love him and we're more than happy to keep him
  20. It saddens me to hear Berwick fans complaining like this so early in the season. I love the set up at Berwick where spectators get close to the track but when you get riders well capable of racing and passing yet witness them busting a gut to do anything when they miss the gate, it's painful. I feel for the riders too as it reflects badly on them and does nothing for their confidence. I don't know what the answer is ..... the outside of bend 2 looked pretty ploughed up before start time last night but the inside was rock solid (I didn't look anywhere else). Maybe the riders and track staff need put their heads together? The Anderson's are good people who want Berwick speedway to flourish and I believe your team is competitive. Early injuries are really bad luck. Keep the faith folks and use it or lose it...... Cookie was 1st class and I don't think he was in the mood to let anyone rain on his parade
  21. And Craig scored paid 7 too so on a 6.21 average, he's done his job too
  22. If you read our Chatzone, you will see that most of us so called "smugs" don't like the tac rule either but it is still there to be used and yes, we needed it tonight and thanks to Cookie and Sam who rode well to take maximum advantage. No excuses for tonight..... Somerset beat us fair and square. Roll on tomorrow..... The league is not decided on just 1 (or even 2 or 3) performances. Our results over the season are why we are in the playoff's. Win or lose tomorrow, we will remain very proud of what our team has achieved
