Premier League 4's
Gr8scot replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I just want to add my sincere best wishes to Lewis and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thoughts are also with Josh and full praise to Cookie for his superb lay down Huge praise to the track medic and staff and helimed. We will certainly join the collection on Sunday -
Now there's a thought!!! Can you imagine how good Berwick could be with Doc on the tractor!!! You'd have to give him those big fellas, he'd be ecstatic Seriously tho' all this doom and gloom is sad and, as I have said before, Berwick is a great venue. A fans trust like Edinburgh's could make a huge difference tho' or a Grand draw. We all know how generous Berwick fans are, you only have to look at every years Ben Fund collection and how quickly the buckets come out and fill up whenever a rider is in need. I would suggest it has to work WITH the promotion as the logistics of fans "having a say" is probably unworkable in the long term. Losses can be huge and difficult to plug but it all helps.

Does anyone have a video link? I too have heard 2 versions and, at worst, a racing accident, unfortunately made worse by Stuart having nowhere to go. I am certain Ritchie will take no pleasure from Lasse's injury status -

I was not there so I cannot comment on the crash but my best wishes to Lasse for a speedy recovery. Any news on Jan? -
Congratulations to Ipswich on a well deserved win. Deserved winners of the meeting and the final!!!!! Such a pity the Somerset lads can't get through their heads that a final race is over 4 laps and not just bends 1&2. Have to feel for young Brady tho' ...... Talented rider! Track preparation on such a hot day, full marks to track staff I have one gripe, please bring back the "walkabout cider sellers!!!!" Thanks, some great photos!!!

Kill The Joker

I'm definitely in the "kill the joker" corner. I would compromise allowing it if 10 points behind but definitely not 6 -

More importantly, best wishes to the folks injured on the M6. Sounds nasty and seems like the dreaded M6 claimed a few others too yesterday with 1 fatality in another crash earlier in the day -

Race times tell a different story from the wee Lasse too ..... Ht 1 - 56, ht 11 - 56.2, ht 15 - 57.1 -
Superb speedway yesterday from the riders of both teams on a lovely day. I always enjoy a trip to meet the lovely folks at Scunny at a great stadium. The track staff produced a track that supported loads of passing especially high and wide which is gr8 to watch. A Monarchs win was just the job but the return of Wayne "ROCKY" Carter was the icing on the cake...... Well done m8. Also nice to meet up and chat with Gary Stead Alex Davies gets the most exciting (but scary) rider award from me and I've no idea how he and Theo stayed on their bikes in their ht 15 "wall of death" act. Poor Carrie Pijper almost went into labour!!! I'm so glad Cookie held back from the burst round the outside or it would've been messy

In all fairness, there was a brief announcement when the Music was switched off to say why it had been switched off It is sad to see the crowds continually dwindling tho' when you think back to when they re-opened...... Me too, Such a simple tumble Take care lad and get well soon -

Ok, I'll play your game, I never defended anyone's gestures and I'm not one of those who made them. I merely pointed out that we would never applaud Nick Morris. I'm not on the defensive as I personally, have nothing to defend..... Sorry to disappoint. I don't condone the gestures but they were well earned by Mr Morris

Fair point, and no complaints with the exclusion, rules are rules..... But, how is he supposed to relay the information to the pits? If he got off the bike and ran up and down the hill in full gear he'd be out of time anyway. For those who haven't sampled the excellent facilities at Ashfield but are old, like me, it is like the old Bradford pits..... Cracking idea but the mechanics have to be fit (and remember to put the fuel cap on). These things happen but "lessons have been learned"
