I haven't read other folks comments yet but IMO the two day event certainly seemed to go down very well and I think now they have done it once, it can only get better. Pity about the dust but as the weather was great, it's kinda inevitable My lasting memory (apart from slipping and tearing my hamstring) has to be the mascots...... Top marks to these guys who bounced around in these woolly suits for 2 full days in the heat and were very entertaining

Now hopefully the rule books will be graciously put aside and we can talk about what was really important...... The racing last Sunday!!! IMO both teams deserved so much plaudits for the entertainment served up and win or lose, speedway was the winner. The video is excellent but no substitute for actually watching the race unfold in real time with the outcome in doubt for 4 full laps and it was only one of many brilliant races

Yesterday was what Kelvin Tatum would call " speedway out the top drawer" ...... Huge well done to both teams, simply superb!!!

Just want to say how good it is to hear Scunny fans got early confirmation they are running next year after previous years of doubt. Must be great for their fans and all concerned. Best wishes to Alex Davies

Why...... Danny is perhaps a wee tad OTT but IMO not enough riders interact with their supporters nowadays. The other Glasgow riders normally do similar celebrations too and you only have to watch the crowds response to see how much it is appreciated. It all adds to the "fun factor" and it's working for them

We are usually criticised for waiting till the last minute....... But this is the problem, when do you call it off? Early to save people travelling - last minute when fans are queuing at the gate - after a few non-event wobbly races or a few crashes - damned either way!!!I definitely don't want to watch "non-event speedway" and I definitely don't want to see riders injured This problem will remain until we all have roofed stadiums........... Or the damned rain stops

Ok boys, I was at the track when the call off was made and it was no surprise at all. The two afternoon downpours (1 was more of a monsoon) and the weather forecast made the decision easy. Sadly, the forecast rain changed its mind and the evening was dry....... No way of knowing that would happen. The damage was already done tho' and I'm afraid promoters are damned if they do and damned if they don't. I hope you have better weather on Wednesday but, as I said on your thread, you'll be ok as you will have tv cameras to prove it Good luck as I am really looking forward to it....... C ya!

How do you know that? TBH I was a bit disappointed with Pinky & Perky on tv tonight, attempting to spice up the pre meeting hype by going on about the rivalry between East & West but "hoping we don't kick off" ...... Banter aye - but "kick off" ...... Bl@@dy cheek!!!
