  1. Correct me if I'm wrong but this thread is for Speedway World Cup 2017 and that is what I want to read about and discuss Would it be too much to ask that the Tai "debaters" head for the Tai thread? Or better stil..... leave the guy alone!!! His life.... his business!!! Team GB won on Saturday and go to the final on Saturday which is something to be very proud of and celebrate!!!
  2. Hi Peter, I should have one which you are welcome to have. Does it matter if it is filled in?
  3. Can anyone help me with a link to Kings Lynn track photographer please?
  4. Congratulations to Rosco and team GB Captain Cookie was sublime and his pass on Chris Holder superb Felt for Super Stevie with the restarts but he kept his nerve Robert well lived up to Roscos faith in him Bomber, I think he should put a GB race jacket under his suit because he ups a gear the minute he pulls one on The Joker is the biggest Joke in Speedway alongside the t/r Saturday will be a different job but the boys will give it their best shot..... good luck lads Keep on enjoying the experience
  5. The meeting was being run by Scott Frame, youth team manager, and is self funding hence the need for sponsorship etc and the reason why season tickets could not be used
  6. Fantastic British Final racing. Superb from Cookie...... Cardiff just got a whole lot better!!! Well done lad
  7. What a great night for a great guy. True to the guy Kevin is, lots of fun things going on. I have never met anyone who doesn't like Dooly and last night was a fitting tribute to one of speedways gentlemen I hope he really enjoyed his big day out, I know I did!!! Having been on way too many Testimonial committees I can say that rider availability is always a factor and late call-offs are not only an annoying fact of life but they are actually expected. Kevin would have factored in some stand-bys for sure. These guys all ride Speedway and they are all mates, I don't think Kevin will bear any grudges. Personally, I attend a Testimonial because I like the rider irrespective of who is riding. The guys last night put on a brilliant show and a Testimonial programme with only 3 name changes is pretty impressive
  8. The Emmerdales are again inviting supporters to join them on the trip from Cardiff to Somerset for the Pairs Pick up will be from the National Museum at a cost of £15-18 depending on how full the bus is Booking or more details from Stuart by phoning 07762796382 or email coatesstuart@gmail.com

  10. Well done the Tigers, great team performance & determined racing
  11. Some good and some not-so-good TBH but those were happy days back then
  12. I feel for the Panthers travelling support, after the bashing we got at Glasgow, it isn't nice to watch your team like that and it gets harder losing key riders First time I have watched BWD in action and he was very impressive Nice to see us start without a 1/5!!!!!!!!!! Luke Ruddick can gate and when he gets the hang of staying aboard, he will be a good prospect SUNSHINE..... love it!!! Don't think I've seen so much bare flesh at the Dale since the Saturday afternoons of the Dale Devils
  13. Well done to the Comets but my top entertainers for the night were the two mascots..... absolutely brilliant lads!!! They must've been all in at the end especially after their dancing wearing their outfits...... take a bow Personally, I thought Ricky was the correct choice for ht 15 but he really has to get it together in ht 1. I will be very happy when Sam goes back to #1 Very bemused with the referees decisions in ht 8 - all 4 back? and then Campton allowed to leave the track? - consistency required The Comets fans would be the happiest at the end but any fan would feel entertained after some great racing and effort from the boys Great to see birthday boy Cookie and his family x
  14. We'll give it our best shot..... looking forward to seeing Cookie and wishing him a Happy Birthday
  15. Just like Friday, a draw was a fair result tonight after an enjoyable meeting. Track was dry & stoorie but we mustn't complain about dry weather!!! What about young Max tho'? It was so nice to see him smiling at the end..... well done lad...... gating like a demon and passing too!!! Get well soon Josh, trying too hard on an unfamiliar track. I guess he will be pretty sore tomorrow. There is no doubting his ability or enthusiasm although the Newcastle fans could be forgiven for wondering what I'm on about tonight
  16. Thanks for the weather report Tsunami Our result will lie in the hands of Max I fear. If the change to reserve suits him.... great, but if not we will miss Mark taking extra rides. Safe meeting for all See you there indeed
  17. Wow, feel the tension last night as both sets of fans went thro' squeaky bum time race after race but IMO a draw was a fair result. That pass from Sam in ht 15 obviously my highlight
  18. Well, that was a nice surprise, well done the Monarchs makeshift 7. IMO with Erik & Mark in place it was ours for the taking. Danny was an inspired choice of guest and I hope he and BWD are none-the-worse for that crash. Josh riding with broken fingers and tendon damage..... what a guy!!!
  19. I certainly don't love posters who quote others to suit their own form of "banter" ........ I made the Chatzone post relating to Dan's interview. I also made post #96 on here...... exactly where have I blamed the Glasgow track? I do agree with Dan that there was more dirt on the track but I happen to be a huge fan of Dan and I take exception at your cheek of quoting my post out of context
  20. No excuses, congratulations to Glasgow. They were sublime out the gate and into the 1st / 2nd bends Huge well done to wee Pocket Rocket Dan on his first paid max for the 0141 - superb style and control on a bike
  21. For a depleted Scunthorpe team, they put up a fight. There was some really exciting racing but Josh Pickering's "wall of death" to get round the outside was the turning point. Ryan was unlucky to catch Ricky's back wheel and MPT had bad luck in his last 2 after some impressive racing earlier. For us, right place, right time and a very enjoyable day out at Sunny Scunny. A great effort for the boys who never give up
  22. (Monarchs fan) we came down last night and brought my Granddaughter (who lives in Newcastle) to see her #1 rider The Cookster. Great meeting for a neutral and heat 13 was Cookie at his breathtaking very best!!! Huge plaudits to Super Stevie (former Monarch) for beating Cookie twice, it's hard enough to do that once! Nice to see young Ashley coming on too (former Monarch). Young Conor is a bit erratic but I hope he will come good (Dad, a former Monarch)..... gave me lots of riders to cheer for, even tho' they were on opposing teams All in all a very enjoyable night at the Speedway
