  1. Moral is, things happen that are outwith anyone’s control. Neither Celina or Claus intended missing the meeting and poor Sedgy was wiped out by Sam’s wayward bike. As has been mentioned, the meeting at Worky wasn’t cancelled when we were left without Josh & Lasse so what is all this nonsense about cancelling the meeting? Personally, I knew nothing until I arrived at the stadium and I would’ve been pretty annoyed if it had been called off without a raindrop in sight. It was great to see so many Worky supporters still full of high spirits at the end and also cheering on the youngsters, well done to the Meteors Get well soon Sedgy, no dancing on the table for a while lad
  2. Well how lucky were we with the weather, someone remembered to say their prayers. Raining when we arrived and raining when we left….. dry in between……. Perfect!!! Great show put on by all and thoroughly enjoyed watching Dan, he made it look so easy, real class
  3. Not all Edinburgh fans hate Kye, there is only a small minority that post on here Hats off to wee Sedgy tonight, great effort - and Picko will be back, very uncharacteristic meeting for him
  4. We had a trip to forget spending almost 5 hours on traffic watch next to the A1 near Alnwick. Too late to cancel the Travelodge and by the time the assistance finally arrived and fixed the car all that was left was to go for a meal and drive home. See you all at Sunny Scunny next time
  5. So much for my worry about the weather forecast…… there was dust rising in the car park and off the track. Great work by the track staff for keeping it relatively under control. The biggest difference between us was the zeros, far too many for us I’m afraid but that said, plaudits to Charles & Danny in 13 & 15 - fully committed racing and to wee Josh for his usual buzzing about trying every line available, Danny had his work cut out in 13. Nice to see Dayle in the points, I must put my hands up and admit I was raging when I saw him listed but the guy can gate so fingers crossed he can kick on. He is too good for the youngsters league so he needs to progress. Sedgy was gating like a demon and kept our score alive but someone must’ve stole his boots at ht 13, I would still have given him ht15 tho’. Paco on the ball but Kye was unwell and struggled. I wonder if Connor drew square speedway tracks when he was a child??? Biggest disappointment was ht 1 being stopped as that was the best gate I have ever seen from Josh
  6. I hope you are right. A lot depends on who “turns up” and how 6&7 perform
  7. What are the chances of this being on folks, we are getting ready to leave
  8. It was not the top notch racing that we witnessed at Ashfield but what a difference when the entire team turns up on the same night. ( even wriggle room for ef’s, chains, falls). That winning attitude is what we have been asking for!!! No more Plymouth (home) Workington & Oxford (away) rubbish please Cookie at the helm - loved it. Highlight though was Cookie driving the tractor to bring Paco round after Paco was awarded rider of the night Looking forward to some positive news from Josh when he is ready and Good Luck to young Max tomorrow, enjoy it lad
  9. A still picture does not show Cam bash into Lasse knocking his foot off the footrest just as they left the tapes
  10. I have NO idea how / why Paco thinks he should be in the GP. Does he keep an extra special bike for these occasions? He is, without doubt, the most frustrating rider ever. Can happily be beaten up by a reserve or bounce out and beat someone of exceptional class Undoubtedly a lovely guy and very funny showman BUT……….
  11. Sooooo sad to hear this news after the miracle of Northside. Having suffered family experience with “the caravan brigade” a few years ago, I commented on our recent visit that they were a worrying sight. They will steal the cream out your ice cream without leaving any trace Donation made, I hope it is a huge success
  12. I won’t comment on my team apart from to apologise to the Worky support for the lack of competition, especially those who wanted to see Josh on the new track ….. get well soon Josh!!! As usual tho’ really enjoyed our visit to Worky and Joes Plaice on the way home
  13. To be fair, there were a good lot on the back straight enjoying the sunshine and as previously mentioned, a large Gang off to the GP but we are forever stuck with the “elephants” who vowed never to return. It’s obviously their prerogative but Personally, no-one will stop me following and supporting my team and last night (as before) who are the losers?
