He will indeed. But he'll be wearing a Belle Vue racesuit as he leads the trailling Pirates riders.
-
Ablitt won't be at No.2 2.00 riders have to ride at reserve.

Birmingham Brummies 2019
WalterPlinge replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes, outdated thinking... Like the way "Strictly Come Dancing", and "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" release their celebrity contestants to the media one at a time over a couple of weeks... Look at those 2 outdated programmes languishing at the bottom of the TV ratings... ...Oh, no, they're the top programmes in the ratings... -
Don't think anyone would sign him if he went that slow! Your average speedway rider would get from Glasgow to Manchester in not much more than 3 hours, never mind Glasgow to Workington.

Birmingham Brummies 2019

If you name them all at once you get one story in the local papers. Name them one at a time and you get 7 stories in the local papers -
He lives in Cumbria. It's not much more than 100 miles to Glasgow. And since he rode for them last season, the travelling to Glasgow doesn't seem to be a problem.
-
Probably Frank.
-
Ok. How about... Got pisse 'tired and emotional' in Poland, missed the Sunday flight, had to fly in early Monday morning and arrived feeling hungov dehydrated. That better?
-
Really? Didn't the BSPA write a whole new rule, just for Cook, to say that if you cried off from a meeting with a dodgy illness excuse you were banned for 7 days? Was he giving 100% in your bank holiday meetings with Leicester when he did 1 pointless ride before pulling out of both meetings because he was "tired"?
-
Not sure who the "whatevers" are that you're talking about, but we're talking about the Leicester NDL team, the second team to Leicester's Championship Lions. Just as Belle Vue have the Aces and the Colts, Leicester will have the Lions and the ????? Lions and Cubs makes sense. Lions and Hunters seems a bit incongruous.
-
Yes, he has dual nationality, but that has no effect on his 2.5% reduction. He gets the 2.5% reduction because he's ridden in the NDL for Buxton.
-
Whilst Hunters is a nod to past Leicester Hunters teams, it doesn't seem appropriate at the moment. Having the senior team called "Lions" and the NL team called "Hunters" really doesn't go together! Cubs is the obvious nickname. Certainly the 4 crap suggestions on the official Leicester twitter account cannot be taken seriously.
-
I was going to suggest that, since it's an open twitter poll, all fans of rival clubs would vote for the most embarrassing option to lumber Leicester with. But all 4 options are highly embarrassing, so that's ruined that bit of fun. I'm guessing the four options were selected by a 60 year old man trying to be down with the kids and getting it all wrong.

Hmmmmm....

What are the odds on Jon Cook running an Eastbourne team in the Championship, and the Dugards running a Young Eagles team in the National League? hmmmmm....rumours...
-
Please tell me where you bank, so I can go somewhere else! I'd prefer a bank closer to Birmingham or Sittingbourne, where my money is safe
-
Yes, if they had chosen to go up. But when it's revealed that Eastbourne aren't moving up, it'll show that the person claiming that they've already signed NIcholls and Kennett was just telling porkies.
-
They're not eligible for NL.
-
It isn't, so it isn't. 39 was a good level for the NL, but if two teams are moving up (Brum & Kent), then the limit will need to go up to accommodate the surplus of riders. Rumour is however that certain people want the limit lowering, and it could come down as low at 36.
-
Eastbourne weren't interested in moving up. Too comfortable where they are, and didn't fancy the long travel to the Scottish and far north Championship tracks. Kent will face some mileage though. And not many northern teams will enjoy their 2019 trips across the Dartford crossing.
-
So there we have it. Somerset and Leicester drop out of Premiership down to Championship Ipswich and Peterborough move up from Championship to Premiership Birmingham and Kent move up from NL to Championship
-
Looks like you were 1% correct then...

what's the chances that Ged Rathbone might be attending the first day as the outgoing owner of Peterborough, and the other days as the incoming owner of Redcar? -
