World Championship Pairs
WalterPlinge replied to Mark's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If that was the end of it... every country has met every other country twice..... it would have been a perfect tournament. But now an engine failure, a fall, or a dodgy exclusion, in the 2 lottery races, could turn the whole thing to farce. Stage the finals in Britain over Friday, Saturday next year and Belle Vue will be packed to the rafters. -

Strangely though, he's not using his KKS alias Perhaps he needs an alias of KingKennethNoSpeed -

The Poles only have to get to third place to win the whole thing. You can guarantee that the track will be different today and the Poles will have different engines with "Polish speed". -

Like him or not, you've got to give Woffinden credit for that one. A superb effort to try to shepherd home his much slower partner after giving him the better gate. -

What a cock-up from Jason Doyle. Should have been able to team ride a 5-1 over the Germans easily, but just went off on his own leaving his partner to get picked off. -

If Cook's third place beating an opponent wasn't good enough, then Lambert's third (and last) place , with no 4th finisher, certainly isn't good enough. Kick him out and put Cook in. -

With Lambert only getting a third place ahead of Lindback's sick bike, I presume Rosco will bring in Cook for the rest of the heats? -
The fact that he has a Championship average over 4.00 and is therefore ineligible.

How can it be in the best interests of the sport to let the strongest team in the league break the rules to strengthen whilst the likes of Buxton, IOW and Stoke struggle with understrength teams? #Shambles
-
Birmingham have apparently named James Shanes. However as his CL average for Sheffield is above 4.00 he isn't eligible for NL. So either Birmingham have made a mistake, or the BSPA/SCB aren't applying their own rules properly. #Shambles

Niche Sports TV - Promoting Speedway
WalterPlinge replied to NickRushbrook's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It's only you who got "uppity". Nick said he'd done a media deal with the sport. I was just curious how such things worked in the post-GoSpeed era, and asked a simple question. He could have simply said "I don't want to divulge details of my deal", which he now has done In the past the BSPA seemed to have given the media rights away to GoSpeed for little or no money, while GoSpeed appeared to do nothing with them to promote the sport or make money for the sport apart from the main TV deal. I wondered whether things had changed now and the BSPA were exploiting other media revenue streams. -

I asked you. Surely you know who you got your Media rights licence from? (I'm presuming you're not just breaching copyright). -

What do the BSPA charge you for media accreditation and a licence to film? And did you get your media accreditation direct from the BSPA? Or do Go-Speed still hold the media rights? -
Good of the Stoke Clerk of the Course to explain the reason behind the new signing. Could he also explain why the match was "postponed anyway" Why are Stoke allowed to continually postpone matches on nice dry nights for no apparent reason? I can see a backlog happening again at the end of October in bad weather.

Another sunny evening forecast for Stoke. Another postponement at the Stadium of Dark.

Buxton v Brummies Sun 29th Ap NT
WalterPlinge replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
If the alleged sender considered the tickets to be of no value, they wouldn't be crying on a web forum. If they did consider the tickets to be of value, surely they would just get a free certificate of posting. (p.s. there's no such thing as registered post or recorded delivery anymore. There is "Royal Mail Signed For" which is tracked and costs £1.10, but for something of low value all that would be needed is a certificate of posting, which is completely free.of charge) Why would anyone not use a free service if they were worried enough to cry on a web forum? -

Where did Jayne say the Royal Mail was at fault? As a neutral reading this, my opinion of the most likely scenario is that the alleged tickets never reached the Royal Mail. (Maybe the tickets never even existed). Of course the easy solution is for the senders to scan the proof of posting certificate and show us all. (Unless you're asking us to believe that someone sending something he considers valuable, in the post, didn't even get a free posting certificate? Most people would send it "signed for" but it would be stupid not to take advantage of the free service of a posting certificate as a minimum) -
